Sharmila T wants Ranbir - Aaloo to play the lead in Patudi's Biopic

Sharmila Tagore would like a movie to be made on the life and times of her late husband Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. Nicknamed Tiger Pataudi, the former captain of the Indian Cricket Team had lived an illustrious life. He overcame physical handicap to become the youngest cricket captain to lead India.
At a recent media outing, Sharmila expressed her desire to convert Tiger Pataudi's autobiography into a full length feature film. Beaming from ear to ear, addressing the media with her daughter, Saba Ali Khan, the veteran actress sounded hopeful and excited as she expressed her heart felt desire to see a biopic made on the life on Saif Ali Khan's late father. "If somebody directs it properly and does proper research, his life was full of interesting things - about the accident, losing his father, playing cricket with such a handicap, it's quite interesting," said Sharmila.


The multiple National Award winning actress had a twinkle in her eye as she discussed the project with much enthusiasm. She even got down to discussing the finer details as to which actor she would like see essay the title role. "Somebody who looks like Tiger, maybe Ranbir Kapoor," said the actress. Talking about the female lead, she expressed a desire to have Alia Bhatt portray her role.
Tiger and Sharmila tied the knot in 1969 when Sharmila was at the peak of her film career. The stunning couple went on to have three children - Saif, Saba and Soha.

Yeah.. Ranbir could physically resemble Tiger :) ..and Alia also has a face that closely matches with Sharmila's - face structure..

I could see those two as lead pair. Alia has short body like Sharmila.

I googled to see how Pataudi used to look when young & think RK would be perfect choice but Aalia ..agree she's petite like ST but still maybe ST wanted her cuz of her acting

Biopic on pataudi?? ROFL..sharmila ji aap tiger ki koi ek bhi achievement bataengi who became Test captain by luck in the absence of regular test captain he has below average test cricket records yeah he was famous just coz he was your bf /husband and was from Royal family.
