Why has Bollywood stopped making family films like those in 90's?

I miss 90's bollywood films. Those films were cheesy but family oriented. Now they are just making films about sex and VFX. 😭

Times have changed. To be honest most these family dramas in the 90s got repetitive and recycled in terms of storyline. I'm not saying they were bad because they were good. I don't think family films work in todays time and PRDP was pretty much an example as it was outdated e.g. plot.

A wealthy man gets betrayed in the family because someone is after the money and will. Then there's the revenge saga that takes place. This just an example these plots that were common in the 70s, 80s and 90s.

IDK about being family-oriented but then, I wish they make nice songs these days.. I miss 90s because of the songs.

Time has changed. Back in days there used to be joint families. Everyone used to live together in the same house...chacha-chachi, dada-dadi, bhaiya-bhabi etc etc.. Now a days most have got their nuclear family. If BW start showing those "hum saath saath hai" type of family again it would be very unrealistic.. kya kare..

tv is not full of sooraj B type shows...these days it's full of supernatural stuff...of course saas bahu sagas once ruled...there are few love stories too...sooraj B type shows are only one or two.

I don't watch TV serials now. But 7 years of Kyunki and Kahani ghar ghar ki were enough to kill that genre !!
