Hello Shajni fans!

I am die hard fan of this serial just like you all. And when I go crazy with a serial, I see these characters moving everywhere around me. I know, that sounds creepy. But for those of you who madly love these characters, this is probably an experience you are going through as well.

Now that my latest addiction is BHRK, I have attempted to write a fan fic on our dear Shajni. The characters are the same, just that there's a twist in store for you.

Hope you will enjoy reading it and do let me know in the comment how i can make you fall in love with Shajni, all over again.😉

Prologue: The Kants

Every family is unique. They have their quirks and secrets. The Kant family is also one such kind. To be accurate, the Kants would top the category if quirky family. Every member is quirky in their own way and it is interesting to see how they balance each other perfectly.

Meet Amrish Kant! The head of this family. A personality who is soft at heart and harsh on anyone who goes against his ethics. The colourful Punjabi entrepreneur had found his motivation to succeed for the love of his life. For a bright coloured Amrish, you might not expect a classy, high-society lady as his life partner. But this is the match made in heaven. Enter Surili Kant! The epitome of "classiness", she thinks herself to be. A woman of rules and plays by the script of the society. Where Amrish loves to have fun, she presses her foot down and keeps the family on their toes.

The eldest son of the family, Gyan Kant. He is a collage of his mother's Bengali traits and his Punjabi father's morals. His day starts and ends only by seeing his mother's face but rest of the time is ruled out by his dominant wife. Maggie Kant is nothing like the elder bahu of a family. And this eats Surili every minute of her being. The Bengali 'ladla' and Punjabi 'sherni' sure have their dynamics inherited from the parents.

The second son is Dhyan Kant. If Gyan is on his mother's side, Dhyan is on his father's side. Walking in the foot steps of his father, he is the yes-man who cannot turn down anyone. A feature which his wife takes advantage of all the time. Sharmila Kant, a Bengali by origin, was perceived to be a perfect addition to the family by Surili. However, she turned to be a lovey-dovey wife struggling to catch up with the ultra-classy thinking of Surili.

Adding flavor to this Kant family are the unidentical twins Shoguta Kant and Rajni Kant. These sisters are the true opposites of each other. While Shoguta can be seen as younger version of her mom at times, Rajni could never fit into this crazy family. Where Shoguta bent her ethics for an advantageous position, Rajni would stay rooted to her logic of right and wrong.

Thank you Trinaa.. I am sorry to keep you waiting.. i am trying update this soon and with daily updates, will try to finish by end of this month😊

01 Shaan is missing

Rajni was a Physics PhD student as far as her family was concerned. However, Rajni was less interested in her studies and more imterested in her lab work. What went on in her lab was known to only one person - Dev. Not because she particularly trusted him, but due to the partnership he offered in her lab work. Also, while the family saw her lab as a trash bin and stayed away from it, Dev could see through the mess. So it was meaningless to hide her secret work from him.

She had met Dev as her senior in college. He was a blur looking guy who found the solutions of problems within the problems but no one heard them. One such incident brought Rajni to Dev where she shared her worry for a robotic arm. Dev gave her a long winded answer to it and she fell asleep midway. However, when she came home, she tried to apply his solution and it had worked.

After graduating, Dev had found solace working for a mad scientist whose work was based on time travel but was nowhere near achieving fruition to the project. That allowed Dev ample time to sleep while he would still get paid.

Until Rajni had made a project of her own and she roped him in as the supplier of items and later made him the partner that he was today.

Her daily routine involved first visit to the lab and then the rest of the chores. Just like everyday, she entered her lab and felt something wrong. She glanced across the lab. Everything was where it was supposed to be, in messy piles that only her system could read. Yet she couldn't shake off the feeling nagging at her. Her heart blared in her ears that a vital part of her was not where it was supposed to be.

She searched all over the lab for it. Below the tables, inside the cupboards, through her messy piles. Her search was in vain.

"Rajni, what's for breakfast today? I'm very hungry." Dev asked as greeting.

She held him by his shoulders and screamed at his face. "He is not here! Dev!! SHAAN IS NOT HERE!!! "

02 Who is Shaan?

Rajni and Dev look for Shaan all over the lab in panic mode. He was their top secret and if anyone finds out they would be in deep trouble. They had not informed anyone about him here. They wondered if Shaan wandered out. Rajni slapped his shoulder for that thought.

While they were bickering in the lab, they heard noises from the house. They went to see what the commotion was. The house maid, Aishwarya was raising hell calling all the spirits of the house. All family members gathered in their hall to see Aishwarya's latest shenanigan.

Rajni and Dev joined the melee. However both stopped dead in their tracks as they saw the subject of the gathering today. There stood her six foot tall, brown haired, lanky and confident secret she had been trying to hide from the world. It was only matter of time before...

"Isn't he the guy from college Rajni was mad about?"

Rajni hid her face in her palms. Only Shogata knew how Shaan looked like. The rest of the family knew the story but never saw the person in flesh. They did now.

She had liked Shogata as a sister that one time when she heard her heart break story and gave a slap as her return gift to him. She now felt like strangling and burying her right there for opening her mouth.

The family members stared at Rajni for confirmation. Aishwarya didn't wait for her. She continued, "That's why he was waiting in her lab for her. Before he could surprise her, I caught him here thinking he is thief." As she spoke, she was swinging Shaan,she arm with the force she swung her hand bag.

Rajni extracted Shaan from her, chiding, "Do you plan to dismantle his hand? Don't you touch him!"

"Possessive", Aishwarya murmured.

"And, for the record, he is not a thief." Rajni said to clear the air.

However Dev polluted it immediately. "Yeah yeah, he is her boyfriend now."

03 Dev gets it right

"He is her boyfriend now."

The words stunned the Kants. Rajni had to think on her feet and come up with a plausible explanation that would be understood by her crazy family.

"Haha.. Dev, don't spread rumors. Mom, Papa, it's nothing. He came to see me. That's all."

Shogata thought out loud. "Why would Shaan Kapoor come to see you? Didn't he leave saying he wasn't interested in a... "

"Shogu! Shut up!" Rajni stopped before she is insulted more. "Dev, take Shaan out. I don't want to talk to both of you. Just get out. "

After a while, Rajni reached her lab with her hockey stick.

Dev asked, "Rajni, which new experiment are you trying to do with this stick? "

"The most impossible experiment, Dev. The one where I will bring your brain to function. " Rajni raises the stick to hit Dev but he runs away. The chase continues within the lab.

Shaan comes there. "This is an interesting game. Can I also play? "

Rajni and Dev halt. "Shaan, why did you come out of the cupboard?"

"I didn't come, Rajni. That loud-speaker human came looking for you. I was cleaning the lab. So I wished her Good Morning. Don't know why she screamed like she saw a ghost. Then took me to that house."

"Shaan, feed this into your system. You are not allowed into that house."

"Command accepted."

Dev stared at Shaan. "Yaar Rajni, what have you made? "

"Dev! How many times do you want to hear this? Anyway listen, Super Humanoid Automated Activity Number 2489 in short SHAAN 2489, India's first humanoid who looks nothing like a robot. I am so proud of me!" Rajni added maniacally.

Soon she sat down sighing, "Shogata has seen Shaan here. She will not stay quiet. I cannot send Shaan away from here. What am I going to do?"
