No happy endings for Ash-SRK: jinxed onscreen

Till today, no film ended with them being a happily-ever-after couple.

Mohabbatein - Ash dies

Devdas - SRK dies

Josh - They are siblings

ADHM - They are divorced

Every time they were supposed to play a happy couple, like in Chalte Chalte and Veer Zaara; Ash was removed out of these movies.

Veer Zaara wasnt exactly happy couple... They united in their burhapa when they were literally too old for anything😆

Chalte Chalte is the only movie I wish had Aish.. Priety was perfect as Zaara

Aish turned down MHN.. Sush's role was wtitten with her in mind but I guess she was still angry at Shah during that time

Still, united at the end gives some sense of a happy ending for the couple. Death is worse than anything. -_-

@Bold: Yes, Simi had said Ash was supposed to do as many as 5 films with SRK after Devdas. But it's not because she was angry, but because she was removed out of those projects. That said, Sush was amazing in MHN, cant see anyone else in that role after seeing her.

Oh noo... I hope this conversation doesn't take us to the same old SRK-Ash cold war now. Just wanted to discuss their sad fate onscreen. 😆

I know she was removed from a lot of movies but I thought MHN she turned down.. Maybe I got it wrong.. She did refuse films with Shahrukh afterwards though.. I read abiut it

No discussion on cold war😆 I love both of them together😆

Actually Tahir cheated on Saba in ADHM.

Doesn't the line from Saba , "rishto ke gili zameen par aksar log phisalte hain" only indicated that? 😕

She did, and KANK too.

HNY was because Abhishek was in the same film, so it would be awkward for her to romance SRK when Abhishek is in the same film; same reasoning used to opt out of Dostana.

P.S. Interestingly it's always Ash that makes the sacrifices..
