After a physically and mentally challenging role in Bajirao Mastani, it took a film like Befikre for Ranveer Singh to snap out of a taxing, emotionally draining zone. No, the actor is all set to enter the evil and dark space with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati. He will essay the role of Alauddin Khilji in the film. But how does RS feels about this entire gamut of emotions?
In an interview ith Filmfare, Ranveer spoke about it. "I am absolutely petrified. It takes a lot out of you. Sometimes you feel empty...Like you have got nothing left. I probably may need some mental therapy. It does affect me to that degree. Hopefully, after Padmavati, I will do something light to keep a balance. I need time to recover. I am on the threshold of entering completely uncharted territory. I'm scared of stepping into that rabbit hole. I fear if I go in, I may not come back. Like Heath Ledger. He didn't come back. He went so far into the rabbit hole that it took away everything from him. I can say I'm living life on the edge," shared the actor.
Too risky...?!
Reportedly, Heath Ledger's turn as Joker in The Dark Knight pushed him into a spiral of depression and drugs that finally led to his death. Rumours have it that Ledger's obsession with the character eventually led to him overdosing on painkillers. The actor died on January 22, 2008, at the age of 28.
