Queen Nandini was real not fiction according to some historical sources.
She was the princess of chandravanshi clan dynasty .she also had another name Niadrus
She was one of the 3 daughters of Dhana nanda.
Which ruled northern India 322 bc
According to reference in jain literature
Queen Nandini was married to chandragupt as a war compensation and Dhana nand was sent to excile to the forest.
According to Megasthenes I reference from Indika(greek:Indica)Niadrus was exceptionally a warrior and a great leader.
Niadrus was the eldest of all decendants of Dhana nanda.Niadrus was also the advisor of Militia an able army commander.Niadrus had a fleet of 2000 elephants and 4000 chariots

Queen Niadrus -queen nandini -chandravanshan Nandini
Around 323 Chandragupt was looking for support to fight Alexander. He got support from parvateshwar(porus) Ruler of Punjab. But Dhana nand did not support Chandragupt and ridiculed him..
This made him overpower Nanda dynasty .Chandragupt had great clash with Niadrus-Nandini
And the four day war resulted in treaty as Nandini agreed to marry in pardon of dhana-nand who was in 2-month captivity by mauryans

Nandini's jealousy with Dhurdhara
Chandragupt favoured his second wife more than first wife Nandini. This made her furious.
Nandini who was already a let down by Chandragupt maurya for overthrowing her father.
So Its depicted that Nandini poisioned queen Dhurdhara for which she was prisioned by chandragupt
And later pardoned in her old age..

Queen Nandini -jainisim
In her old age Nandini converted to jain aryika

Actually there is no any proof about Nandini as Chandrakupthas wife. And also according to the Jain texts, Durdhara was the wife of chandraguptha and the mother of Bindusara. And Chandragupta's advisor Chanakya, used to feed the emperor with small doses of poison to build his immunity against possible poisoning attempts by enemies. One day, Chandragupta not knowing about the poison, shared his food with the pregnant Durdhara who was just seven days away from delivery. The empress, not immune to the poison, collapsed, and died within a few minutes. Chanakya entered the room the very time she collapsed, and in order to save the child in the womb, he immediately cut open the dead empress' belly and took the baby out, by that time a drop of poison had already reached the baby and touched its head due to which the child got a permanent bluish spot on his forehead. Thus, the newborn child was named Bindusara. But Durdhara was portrayed byNanddhi in NDTV Imagine's historical drama, Chandragupta Maurya. other than that there is no any other proof about nandini. If you have it please provide it to me. I need to see it and I need to change my opinion too.
