I think shreelakshmi is the weakest contestant on the show, but did anyone else think blue team was being unfair by not listening to her inputs or letting her make a more complex dish? she is probably not good at international cooking but this challenge is where her strength lis. it could have been her chance to shine but samantha told her to make basic puris🥱 perhaps they just did not want to take a risk with her since she was on the bottom twice.

A lot of times teams are chosen based on likability factor and how well the team will get along with each other. I think both captains felt Sreelakshmi will not fit that way. No one can complain about youth vs experience either because the 2 older guys were chosen much earlier.

Sreelakshmi is very good at authentic Gujju or Sindhi dishes (I really don't know which it is but she knows stuff I have never heard of) and what the judges said about Kerala/ South Indian flavour is not applicable to her because though she lives there, her dishes that are her key strength are from her native place and the contestants know it , unlike the judges who tried to paint a regional flavour on her non-selection.

Must say that she is extremely good at making Indian vegetarian food. To have her make puris was a poor choice and waste of her talent. She is better than all the others on her team in the kind of cuisine that was required for the platter

Siddharth has been in the bottom twice and he was asked to make biryani - a very important part of the thali.
Sreelaxmi should've been no different. This was a task where she would've done well. Making puris is a no brainer - they could've had her make a vegetable or something more substantial.
They had the upper hand with 1 extra member, guess they've realised their folly now

Sreelakshmi should have chosen red team..she knew it was strong ..or maybe she thought she could be more valued in blue team

@Bold: 😆 Just for your tassalli, she is not a South Indian but a Northie living there. She is useless in making South Indian dishes and that's why the Chefs' great insight irritated me yesterday.

😆 I am sure that on another show she had said she is settled in Kerala for years now and that's why Chef Vikas also brought up her Kerala cuisine skills (which I have seen on another show is practically non-existant). At least her drama is over.

In my house in Kerala , ever since I was a child, we never had any indication that there is anything special about Diwali. No special sweets or celebrations or fireworks. Now with people having moved to other cities and got exposure to festivals like Diwali, I think in cities at least, there might be some kind of celebration but Kerala is more about Onam, Vishu, Christmas and Eid. Only someone who has lived there will understand this.

And yes, her accent is completely off.
