CVs of this show is truly brilliant.

Every time they show the hero leaning towards men no woman in their sane mind would like to marry, they sweeten the deal with romantic and chirpy background score and cute expressions to take our mind away from the actual problem.

In fact what surprised me that what a big role background score plays. May be that's the way we can make women forget their place in the hierarchy in their in-laws, make them forget that even when they are mother of their husband's children, they will always be "Paraya Dhan" for their parents and outsiders in their in-laws.

Sonakshi is a true romantic. She always has been in love with love. She wanted the fairy tale marriage with Mr. Prince Charming which when opportunity knocked, she jumped into it blindfolded.

She never took lesson from her biggest heartbreak that this time around, let's make sure that this guy is as invested and as dedicated to this relationship as her.

In her mind, she loves him and he says he loves her (as long as no one in his family makes a prior claim) and that's that.

We (whom some members call nitpickers) said, Don't leap again with your eyes closed. Even a child who has been burned with a hot glass of milk before picks a glass filled with even iced drink carefully.

But no, just like women who deliberately shut out all their senses including their brain in love, she leaped.

Then started the slow burn.

She felt the heat on her wedding day. First time in my life, I watched a bride cry on her wedding day in humiliation, not while leaving her parents' house.

Then temperature increased and she felt the heat continue when she entered her new home. Again, I have seen brides leave their hand stamps and feet marks in their new house. Here a bride left her tear marks in the threshold of her new life.

Since then not a day passed since the wedding day when a new bride didn't shed tears.

Ishwari worships her God, yet which God stays in a home where a woman is insulted, humiliated and bring to tears EVERY SINGLE DAY, I'd like to know if someone would care to enlighten me!!!

But just to make the bitter pill easier to swallow, CVs sweeten the deal with cute romantic sprinkles here and there. Just so that people who have no qualms to watch a woman suffer indignity can concentrate on those scenes and forget the humiliations.

After all, this is reality.

Don't women get told, concentrate on sweet romantic times honey. Forget your pain and insults. Isn't the romantic moments enough of a payback for your respect? What more do you want? Aisi baaton ko dil se nehin lagate. Bade bade deshon mein aisi choti choti baat hoti rehti hai.

So as usual like most women, Sonakshi took the blinder and put it on where only romantic moments are playing on repeat.

May be if she increases the volume loudly enough, she can forget her self-respect in the white noise.

Kudos for your effort. But note the man who said sorry so easily on your wedding night expected you to say sorry for his fault.

But at least you are going to work. Funny how Elena had to remind you who you are.

Hope your work gives you the sense of belonging which you won't get in your husband's house. But be careful, sometimes when you only are left with one place to feel like home, people tend to spend more and more of their time there.

If you were a man (although you won't have been in this circumstances had you been a man), I'd say this guy will start to spend more and more time at work to get away from toxic environment.

But double standard applies here as well. You are an Indian woman who will have to be the definition of an ideal wife.

Translation:

Works like a maid...
Advises like a Minister (although who gives a damn)...
Cooks like a mother...
Pleases in bed like a courtesan...
As beautiful as Goddess Laxmi...
As forgiving (or as sacrificing and tolerant) as Mother Earth ...
A woman who has this virtues is an ideal wife...

What? Are you asking what is the definition of an ideal husband? There isn't one beyond marrying a woman and earning money although the later is not mandatory. Yep, that's it.

I found the episode okay..

But even I agree with what you said about job. I mean really, does someone need to remind you that you have a job? It's not a toy or belongings that you forget you have. It means that had Elena not reminded Sona of her job, she would have probably stayed at home forever.

Hi Tia, I have always liked your writing. Commenting for the first time, sorry about that. Today was the wierdest episode, most non sensical. How can everyone in dixit house be so forgetful, Ish, Dev and Sona...how can sona behave as if nothing happened. I dont even want to talk about Dev's expectation. They are playing good BG and making it seem like all is again perfect. If I had ever felt most irritated with the show, it would be today. And their claim to reality is proving to be more false day by day. A MIL like Ishu doesnt suddenly start forgetting everything and giving you books with love, a husband cant be blind to his wifes plight like this at all, and if he is then can he be in love? And a woman like Sona is just too weak. So weak, one should not draw any inspiration from her at all. Self respect- tata bye bye

And I am sorry Tia, but ranting in your topic, but I am really angry today on the Team of the show for treating us like children, as if we didn't know how mature human emotions play. Even kids do not forget their pain as easily as dev-sona have done.

The worst thing is the way she asked for permission from Ishwari. What is this permission? Ishwari asked her to do what she can do (In my opinion, she should have left for job that same day). Dev left for his job the day after his marriage and he never skipped work. Then why are you hanging around getting insulted every day when you are not even spending your time with your new husband which is why most people take time off after marriage? Seriously if Dev last week was a disappointment, Sona with her grandmotherly sarees is even a bigger disappointment.

Firstly, let me just say how glad I am to know that my decision to skip watching the episode was right.Reading the written updates and posts was annoying enough.Watching would have just spoiled my mood like the last few episodes.

The fight on Friday was not a silly or cute one.It was a very major and real issue which needs to be discussed and once again I can see major issues being brushed under the carpet than being addressed by the couple.I would much rather see them dealing with their problems than their shallow cutesy scenes.
Sona needing Elena to remind her that she has a job?😕As if anyone could forget such a thing. What are Cvs doing to Sona's character?
Sona taking permission shocked me so much! Sona is herself losing her individuality by doing things like this.Informing about it to Ishwari is fine but why was there any need for permission?Does Dev take permission before going to work?😕So strange.

I never wanted to see Vicky and Elena pair up.And that is what this track seems to be leading to.He is so disgusting and a creep.I don't want to watch the same old ,sisters being married in the same house, good girl reforming bad boy stuff.

Read that Ishwari got creepier and that her hug didn't come across as motherly🤢 and then again her disturbing behavior in precap.(When will Sona realise what's happening🥱)
Plus it makes no sense that Sona would light up candles and create a romantic atmosphere in the hall/entrance area.Who does that in joint families? It was shown only to create drama by Ishwari. No logic being applied by CVs.

As for your last lines,so true. That is the direction Sona's character is being taken to.Fitting her in the mold of an ideal Indian wife.Modernity?Progressive mentality? What's that?😳
I hope against hope that Sona does not taken it upon herself to become super human and ideal wife/bahu.

I think still in India and esp in middle class families women's self respect is least of their in-laws concern. I am not saying all are like this but still ate many.
Same is with dixits, so what sona is listening taunts it shouldn't hurt her becoz her self respect does not matter this they think.
Also interesting is how ishwari is so holy emphasis on puja path but this puja path is just a farce I feel, God can never forgive her for all the drama, plans she is creating for a young girl and bringing her despair. All of her action to happy God is futile.
Sona going back to work is surely a relief for her and us but still like u said she can't hide away there forever as she is bahu and time limits will be set for her to come back home.

Exactly they are not addressing core issue. one episode They would fight with each other with valid reasons ,very next day they termed it as an EGO fight then next day saying sorry with each other .then again Fight😆

making promise and again breaking it .Same cycle .

In this where is realization between characters. 😕

Aisa lagta hain CV's ka funda Chalo abhi fight karwa dete hain ,thoda drama quotient add ho jayega.

Seeing reaction of viewers ,Oh they are angry chalo romance ka lollypop de dete hain chup ho jayenge !

How sweet of you CV's😳

Love and Romance at the cost of respect and dignity.
A Big NO NO😡

Being a woman I can say that one need to earn my trust, mutual -respect and understanding before going any step further. Cvs cannot play with this lolly pop card anymore.
Doing so we are not passing a good message to the loyal viewers.

Sorry. Its getting impossible for me to watch romantic scenes at the cost of humiliation of Sona by each one of Dixits including Dev.

I dint expect this from Dev to just let it go like this. He can boil an ocean to fulfill any silly demand from his mother but is ignoring the suppressed feelings of his wife.

Next is what- When Vicky will ruin his business. He will come back to Sona crying "Hamesha ki tarah aap hi sahi thi Miss Bose'.

I wont buy that😡
