POWER

Dharani sat on the floor, horrified. This was as bad as the time she had to do Theruvil Varano', a love song on Lord Shiva. At that time, she considered Him as a brother. It was almost impossible to get the romantic love, till she imagined her Lord in His place. Her mudra showed Shiva Shankar, but her dance was for Lord Vishnu. She could see no other way around it. And now, she had to do a varnam on her Anna, Lord Muruga. He is in a way, Bhudevi's son as well. In this lifetime, He is her brother. How is she to do a love song on Him? She knew her Lord wasn't all that happy, but her Lord knew that her mind was on Him for any love song, and otherwise.

Dharani closed her eyes in meditation, for suddenly, she felt the fire in her rage. She needed to calm the fire down before she yells at someone and shows her anger out, the anger which is like Maha Kali's.

"Bhama, your anger is too high. Calm down", said Rukmini.

"Jiji, that is impossible. How can one insult a woman like the Kauravas have? How do I stay calm? Panchi's insult is my insult. I can feel his hands on me Jiji. I feel tainted", said Satyabhama.

"Priye, this is the world", said Lord Krishna, walking into the room.

Satyabhama's lotus eyes saw Him, and her anger melted. His very presence and thought was enough to calm down the fire in her.

"Swami, what will happen now?", asked Rukmini.

"You know that an insult to any woman is like an insult to Dharaa, for me Rukmini, Bhama. It is time for justice", said Shri Krishna.

Dharani calmed down. Her anger melted away, seeing the face of the man who was her Everything. He was her husband, and then her God. Crazy as it sounds, it was the truth.

Mrinalini couldn't understand it. Every second of her life, as it progressed, she felt more and more like she was Urmila. The same Urmila, who in her point of view was too pure for someone like her to be. That Urmila was ideal. In Mrinalini's point of view, she made too many mistakes. There was no way she could be Urmila. Yet, her heart fluttered at the thought of Shri Lakshmana, the man who was the very soul of his brother, Shri Rama. But there will be many who wuld love him. But love and in love are two different things. She had to talk to Dharani Bhabhi soon. Or as she likes to call her, Shyama Bhabhi. The name Shyama seemed to be apt. Her Bhabhi belonged to Shyam Krishna, the Lord of all worlds, after all.

Dharani sang to her heart's delight, sitting in front of the pooja room in her house. This was her favourite place in her house. It was home. Her Lord was in the pooja room. Her eyes never straying from the figure of Lord Vishnu, she continued singing, her melodious voice filling every part of the house with an auspicious tone. The house seemed brighter, with the worship of Lord Vishnu going on like the flow of a river would, without any stop.

Dharani's grandmother Sheela smiled. Her granddaughter was made for stunning people, whether with looks, behavior or art.

Mrinalini sat in front of the Krishna murti, helpless. With folded hands, she prayed, "Govind, my emotional turmoil is too high. I am unable to calm down. And you are not here as well. What will I do without you? I know you are there everywhere, but Govind, you know that you are my support, the only one who will never judge me. You listen and guide me to my Destiny, to what I am supposed to do. Kamalnayana, help me here, Lord. Guide me to my Destiny"

She closed her eyes, and sat in front of the murti.

"Urmila, your marriage has been fixed!"

Urmila was standing at her balcony, daydreaming about a certain dark-skinned prince of Ayodhya. She jerked out of her daydream, and asked her sakhi, "What? To whom?"

"Rajkumar Lakshmana, the younger brother of Shri Rama", said her sakhi.

Urmila's dream seemed to have come true. She was marrying the man of her dreams. Her body was filled with extreme joy. Happiness evaded her soul. She will be going to Ayodhya with the man of her dreams, and with her sister.

Mrinalini opened her eyes, surprised. She was Urmila. Her visions were slowly confirming it. Her heart and soul knew it, but her practical mind struggled with it. Only Govind can help her!

In Ksheer Sagar...

"How bad Narayana?", asked Mahadeva.

"Very Mahadeva. She needs to learn of her powers. The ones you gave her", said MahaVishnu.

"She will. She has always known it in her heart", said Lord Shiva.

"She has. Her mind has to accept it", said Lord Narayana.

"Her mind will", said Lord Shiva.

"Sister?", called out Lord Narayana.

"Yes big brother?"

Ma Parvati appeared.

"The tests have begun. Maya needs to start Her work, with Mayan", said He.

"Of course Bhaiya", said Ma Parvati, smiling lightly.

Dharani smiled at her mother, as they rode in silence in the car. They were going to go see a lady called Sudha, who was fondly called Sai Sudha Ma. She was a huge Bhakt of Sai Baba, and He spoke to her, making her an instrument of spreading peace. They had been going to her for a while now. Dharani, however, noticed that Sai Sudha Ma never outwardly blessed her. That repeated this time also.

"Mami, why are you not blessing Dharani?", asked Radhika. "She needs your blessings"

"How can I bless she who has already been blessed?", asked Sai Sudha Ma.

"What do you mean, Mami?", asked Radhika, puzzled.

"Your daughter has been blessed by Lord Narayana Himself. What more does she need? Her wishes He will fulfill", said Sai Sudha Ma, smiling knowingly at Dharani. In that second, Dharani knew that Sai Sudha Ma knew who she was from the beginning, from before even she knew who she was.

A few miles away...

Shyam looked around his apartment, smiling. He had settled down, and everything he needed was here. Everything but His Earth, His Bhudevi. He hoped to meet her soon.

In Ksheer Sagar...

"You gave it up Bhaiya", said Ma Parvati, tearing.

"I did. My foresight will be Dharani in a way in this. You know how", said Shri Vishnu.

"I do", said Ma Parvati, nodding, smiling grimly.
