Folks :

Given a choice and if you have the idea of her personality, would you choose to get married to a guy whose mom is Ishwari...

Is it worth it...

Please weigh it from your upbringing, your parents efforts, your efforts to reach wherever you are currently and would you throw it away without second thoughts...

As far as I am concerned, given a choice I would take a step back and make more informed choice...remember Neha was given the luxury of pre-conditions...

you are right... love makes you do unthinkable... but real life people is different dynamics...

love is between those two people... rest is pure gamble... question is : Are we strong enough to play that gamble... specially the risk of giving up everything you have and run the race where there is no guarantee of win or more importantly FAIR PLAY by other participants..

Hey fangirl.. Brilliant question i must say. This has made me contemplate a lot and I have a lengthy answer!

Firstly, its a very hard choice to make because as I always say and believe - Marriage is a gamble, you may have a track record of winning/losing but you don't know how the gamble will turn out in the end. You may lose or win everything.

Now, our decisions are based on choices we make, and that is how our destiny plays and the choices make or break us.
So the real choice is NOT what is important to you, the real choice is what is it that will break you - a bad family, financial problems, infidelity, no attraction, family environment - too conservative or partner incompatibility.

The choice one should make must be based on what is it that we can't do without. That will tell you where your true happiness lies.

As per our show, for Sona and Dev - compatibility, love, trust and respect were never an issue. Infact though they came from different backgrounds and cultures, they are exactly like each other - their sensibilities and thoughts are similar to each other.
The bone of contention is Dev's mother - which is a journey in itself.

In real life, Ritwik would have been a better choice than Dev, till the point of break-up and the sorted positive approach towards life. Also, Dev's true redemption never happened although he loves Sona immensely.
But the heart wants what it wants.
Dev is a perfect choice - because for Sona, love was the first choice. her happiness lies with someone she truly loves and rest all is secondary. That is why though Ritwik ticked all the boxes of being a perfect husband, he didnt qualify in her books.

As of talking for myself, I would have chosen Dev. Because if there is love, trust and compatibility, then I can deal with a bad family. Also a known devil is better than an unknown one. Who knows what issues Ritwik would bring in.

@BOLD......years back that is the tagline my husband used , to ask me if I was ready for marrying him ... .. a lil diff ...isnt it better that you marry a known devil than an unknown angel ...to be precise ...😆...and I guess I fell for the logic and the man 😉!!

Regarding the question in the post...When in love you really dont think much about anything other than the object of your affection which the man/woman you love. They become so important that you feel you could face every thing in life if you have their support. No wonder they say love is blind because when in love you dont see logic...logic and love doesnt go hand in hand...

So that is why Shakespear said "Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind"
