And now we have a special wish, made by our very own GM *allure*. It has been fulfilled by Bhaskar:

"Fulfilling Butters Christmas wish - the whole nine yards"

The elves of IF contacted me and informed me that I have to fulfill a wish of someone special this Christmas.I have to do the kanyadaan of Aamna while she marries her supposed love.It was a wish from one of my dearest friends my sweetest sister –Butter and I could not say NO.

With a heart heavier than the weight of the world's biggest sumo wrestler I contacted Aamna and told her about this. All she could say was - "ohhhh". Dejected, I log out. In about 15 minutes I get a SMS from her that said – "Bhaskar, I know come what may you will fulfill this person's wish. I also know how upset you must be. Let's split the job. I have ample time in my hand now; let me arrange the marriage and you do the needful on the D-day…how about that? Have faith in me…now, is that a deal??"

I agree, then wait and wish for the D-day to never land up. But it does and I reach the wedding venue to be welcomed by a big banner that read- "Kashish weds Sujal". A bit surprised I go in and immediately I am summoned by Aamna who wanted to have a talk with me.

I go to meet her and ask her: "Aamna why is the board outside reading - Kashish weds Sujal?"

She responds that : "You see it's simple. It was the serial "Kahii to Hoga" that brought me in contact with Sujal and we as "Kashish – Sujal" became a very popular jodi. The Kashish in me wants to acknowledge that fact and that is why I insisted that the banner read -Kashish weds Sujal".

We hear noise outside and realize the Dulha, baraati and band bajaa have reached there. The Don gang dancing to the tune of "bolo tara ra ra ra" go and welcome the dulha. In a short while the dulhan is brought over. I watch the Don gang standing there with big smiles and see the laddoo of happiness jumping up and down in their big eyes. The purohit beckons me to go and hand over the Kanya. I place Mount Everest (patthar) on my chest, go and put the lovely hand of my Aamna in the dulha's hand. The rituals are covered one after the other, and the purohit declares that the marriage is done.

I look up and see the don gang doing the victory dance of happiness.

Having done my duty, I slowly retreat towards the exit when I get called by none other than the Don herself…she says.. "Bhai, won't you congratulate the newly married couple…? Please come and do so"

I go over there and shake Aamna's hand. She whispers – "Mere Sujal se nahi miloge, Bhaskar? Sujal, now you stop blushing and lift your sehra. Abhi to humari shaadi ho chuki hain, ab aur kya sharmana".

The dulha lifts his sehra…and seeing his face, I can feel the ground under me shift, my head reel faster than the fastforward motion, my hands trying to close my wide opened mouth but reaching no where near it and my eyes jumping in and out of their socket like the cuckoo of the cuckoo clock!!!

Just about when I try telling myself that I am hallucinating, I hear some dhaad dhaad noises around and see that some Don gang members dropping on the floor as if trying to prove Newtons gravitational force theory!! and the rest have their mouth as wide open as a crocodile's yawn. 😆

Aamna says "So, kaisa laga mera Sujal? Kaha tha na maine pehle hi that I wanted a husband who would always be only mine - someone, who wouldn't have the whole world chasing him, but make me his world. But had I married "THE" Sujal that's what precisely what would have happened - I would have had to compete with half a million girls/ladies/grannies to catch his attention. Moreover, he is my good friend and especially in a time like this when his first film is about to release, I can't let his female fans become heartbroken and boycott his film. He needs them more than he needs me. But since I promised you Bhaskar that you will surely get to fulfill someone's wish, I could not let you down either. So I approached this Sujal. For being the good friend that he is, he agreed and therefore I just got married to my Sujal – meet my new husband : Gurpreet aka Gurry !!!!!" 😃

I did not know how to react. While my heart played the happiest melody, my my legs were busy dancing to the dhoon of Chakh de, my eyes were busy registering Don #1,#2 & #3's reaction, my brains shooting the disco lights of confusion and happiness rolled in one and my ears hearing Butter utter – "But Gurry is already married. How can this wedding be legal….? Someone please reply……"

I heard the sweetest yet faintest whisper from Aamna as she told me – "Now you realize why I married him ??Butter is right. Infact this idea is actually his wife's. Dekho saanp bhi mar gaya and laathi bhi nahi tuta. You fulfilled someone's wish while I did what I had to do to save my love…but, how was the shock? You have learnt your lesson na, never ever accept another such horrible task, iss baar to maaf kar rahi hoon, agli baar....." ........ before she completes the sentence I pass out in sheer happiness……

And we had a task which our GM Barnali had to complete:

A day with the Madcaps of IF …

Members say my life is so full of music. This is indeed true. But there is another thing that keeps me running through a day - it's my experiences with my cute but totally crazy IF friends. How crazy my day can go, let me tell you. Imagine one day; I don't have much task in hand, so I decide to catch up on all the musical articles here. I log in and this is what greets me.

A PM from Dia (2smart4u) : It reads- "Barnalidi, pls include a remix in retro. It is the best and guess what? I have one made for you.Will you now play it in Retro?" I download the file and start playing it..!!!!!! Wait a minute what did just happen????????? It is one of the most "unique" remixes I can even think off! A really good hindi Retro song, merged with one western rock number!! The effect – enough to make me go into a fit of madness! That's our dear Dia - creative at her best!

A PM from SRGMP Einstein (SmarterDesiKid) – "B'di… I have collected all the spelling bloopers from all the GA's. There are so many spelling mistakes. How can they make them? Here is a list."! The ones he sent were hilarious ones, but what sent me rolling was his own PM… they had atleast 4-5 mistakes!!

Next it is a PM from DON Gang member Zee (farislove) – "Di, please come to KTH. You have been made guilty. You are a qaidi and you have to face trial." Guilty? Qaidi? Me? But I did not even kill a mosquito that day… I rush to KTH Forum to find a thread "Meet new Qaidi, Don2 - Barnalidi"!! And the charges against me – Grrrr only the crazy RR Gang commander can come up with them. I send a Pm to Bhaskar (Thakur Saab) about this and he responds back with: – "Zooro ka jhatka dheere se." One who could spend so much energy typing that long list of charges has such a short reply! HA!

I try not to lose my sanity and pick up the next PM - It is from Minali (Guardian Angel) one who is always confused: "Barnalidi, in retro I told him this and she told me that then I asked for it to someone else, and they said it is a Kishore Kumar song, but I checked google it says Babul Supriyo sang it but I checked again, it says Kishore Kumar and Babul both sang it. The weather is just gr8.I have exams.oh well…. Please look into it and thanks… Bye…" Now what did that just mean? What am I supposed to do?

Next one – Its a newbie who wants to know where she can get Retro Caf updates!!! Now a RA Jodi fan: "Barnalidi , how can anyone say RA won't marry,. They will marry. I will make them marry....nothing can come between them." Just over with this comes next PM - a Gurry Fan: "Why should Aamna be paired with only Rajeev? Gurry suits her the most. We want Gurry-Aamna forever, and ever and ever …… can we get them married here ..?"

A PM from a prospective retro lover: "I have a complaint. You play only old old songs. Why no songs of Himesh reshamiya. Please have a show for him" I feel I have had enough of shocks. So try logging out when I get a PM from Nidhi (nidhi2013) - "Barnalidi , you just have to come over and post a set for retro chicken"…

Posted and when about to log out again get a PM, its now Adi (advil). It reads – "Is Bani Pregnant?" I get a shock – Adi asking about Bani!!! Before I can register it I get another PM from him saying… "Sorry clicked 'send' before completing the PM. It is a question that I received from some Bani fan. But my question to you is - who is Bani…u know her?" It takes me a while to register, who Bani is …and then I can't stop laughing at the scenario, when my phone rings. It is from Sree and she wants me to call up "The Bani" and get some quotes for telebuzz! Before I can even respond she says "Oh and before you ask me who is Bani, let me send some details and the rest you can find in google".

I know I have come a full cycle, have enough work now to last me the entire day. I reflect back and see if I think any more, I will surely go mad laughing. Its time to get to get rolling…oops, sorry start Bani research….
