Best Indian TV imports?

Sushant has proved his mettle already- does anybody know how unlike the usual TV heroes how he landed a non B grade movie, but a critically acclaimed one? Usually movie makers prefer newer faces or big stars, not TV stars!
Vikrant had been favourite so far! I think he has it in him to move over from supporting roles and get to the top! I loved his chemistry with Noorie girl and Alia in the cornetto ads he deserves so much more! And he is so cute looking too! In a movie with my two favourites Ranveer PC I wanted more of Vikrant!


Anyways though the topic was not about the above two, it was about Surveen Chawla? Has anyone seen her work? I was seeing 24 and thought she was a very impressive actress- emotes well, good dialogue delivery! And she had pretty good screen presence too: there was a song in welcome returns with Shruti & Surveen and I could care less about Shruti she overshadowed Shruti in just a song - what good expressions! Frankly IMO I would like to see more of her than Shraddha, Kriti or Athiya's! I haven't seen her debut film but heard she was pretty decent there too

Disclaimer: As you all know the fate of topics for TV actors so please refrain from talking in ways about TV actors/ actresses which will give fire to the egos of TV fans and which will turn my topic into a battleground 😆

Surveen has done everything. I'm pretty sure before TV she starred in Punjabi movies, then moved to TV and Bollywood, even in Bollywood she's done a wide range of things such as: reality, fiction and TV serials. But I don't see her being the new Deepika in anyway.

after that sushant did a very good job so far..

She has a very upward career graph except for a dip when she did JDJ but I think that's for 24! Of course she cannot be the new Deepika, usually pretty newcomers with big debuts reach the top or if you are a TV actor you need to be as talented as somebody like Vidya to reach the top. But she could be successful because she is beautiful and not very forgettable!

SSR is talented and he has always given good performances be it KPC, SDR and even Byomkesh. Dhoni is his top notch performance. He will go a long way.

I actually was talking only about the recent tv actors! SRK is undoubtly one of the best tv imports ever.

Correct me if I'm wrong since I was not very small during SRK's show! But was Fauji popular or SRK popular during that time as in was he famous before he joined movies?
Nobody remembered Vidya during her Hum Paanch time, people recognised her after she joined movies.

These actors- Sushant, Vikrant, Surveen have all been part of popular shows and they were leads who were popular too! TV gave them their share of fame before movies,big film makers are usually sceptical to cast them in movies since they are not 'fresh' or are TV actors. Usually what they are offered are cheap b grade eroticas or horror! Or some cliched childish love stories- the quality of cinema was much better during that SRK Vidya's time now the competition is more from star kids and all it is much harder for talented TV stars to break in!

i really have no idea abt fauji or any shows u have mentioned above..
bt i saw fauji cds selling two years back in a book fair..
n i saw ppl buying them..one of my friends bought it too..
its a green coloured pack..n srk is very thin young..
bt i never saw any of the episodes yet 😆
so my assumption is it must have been quite a hit show..
srk seems to me quite ordinary then from the cover pic..
n now that i see he looks different n rich too..
so i came to the conclusion that he must have made it real big back
then to reach this position now..

from current ya my grandma used to watch pavitra rista..manav..
now we see him in movies too..so he made it big too..
actually serials runs so long 3 to 5yrs that i really dnt have that much
patience..so am very ignorant abt these shows or their success ..
