It's just i have a lot of empathy which is why I chose medicine & why can't watch YHM for all the suffering. But alcoholism is a mental ailment like depression. it's a combination of choices, an inability to cope with certain things, and almost a genetic predisposition as we know alcoholism can "run" in families. It's such a serious issue bc it's so common

Yet here its used to develop a specific type of characterization and to promote a certain angle to the drama just like infertility, rape, depression, and so on 🤢
