Fun and fun only.. Njoy or Ignore as you please.. 😉

Ishwari: Panditji, what will be the wedding sequence? 😕
Asha: Panditji, What should the bride's entry be like? 😕
Maamaji: Panditji, Will there be morning pooja or evening pooja? 😕
Daadi: Panditji, what type of pooja will you do? 😕
Maamiji: Panditji, what time should the food be served? 😆
Baaba: Panditji, first tell me.. Will you be following the UP style or Bengali style marriage?!

Panditji: 😃Arrey.. All of you calm down... See, this is my tariff card😆.. Every type of marriage ritual is mentioned here with its price. Pick whatever you want and you can make a combo package of it.. Charges apply accordingly...😉😆

Marriage tariff card:
1. Jai mala - Rs. 4000
2. Agni pooja - Rs. 6000
3. Saat paak - Rs. 5000
4. Kanyadaan - Rs. 10000
Etc.

All goes like 😲

Moral of the story: Approach for a remix with the core values behind marriage, then there shouldn't be any difference between Bengali attire and Punjabi headgear... It's just a combo version of different marriages... 😉 Enjoy both sides of the world.. 👏

Brilliant post PP👏
Yes. What should really matter is the reason or the core value for any ritual instead of blindly following tradition. Kanyadaan is the most noblest of all the deeds. It doesn't matter if it is done according to Bengali ritual or Punjabi or UP ritual. It is the essence that matters.

Loved the Panditji. totally Hatke😆 Moving with the modern world or more accurately cashing in those who blindly follows tradition.😆

😆 Yes.. One just needn't follow every tradition and may be our priests should be advanced too in forming custom made traditions based on the couples & their families... 😉😆

Like Modular Kitchen - Modular Wedding... Sit together and Mix and Match to form a custom made wedding package... 😉😆

Well found your post inmidst of so many segments just to give you this 🤗 (Now I need extra jhappis for this hardwork😆)

Like your modern vichaar on tradition 😆 I used to be this rebellion in my teenage days regarding these traditions but as years grew got to know the meaning behind each tradition our old generation has left for us to understand and follow. Now I have developed a sense of respect for them as well😳

But as you say the ultimate goal of any tradition should lead to happiness and following anything for the sake of it is utterly meaningless😳

That's great work to dig through dear.. 👏
I don't know.. I don't follow much of the traditions.. I am spiritual but not religious.. I just pick the best lessons from every religion and follow only my inner God.. And yeah I would never tease the ones following the traditions.. But if my mom forces it on me then that sure ends up with a fight between us.. 😆
