Ranveer Singh has been giving director Sanjay Leela Bhansali a very tough time. For Padmavati, Bhansali has already had faced so many hurdles right from the start. Firstly the filmmaker had a tough time choosing the second male lead who would play Deepika Padukone's husband in the film. And once Shahid Kapoor came on board, Ranveer had his own set of demands. He asked for a meatier role than that of Shahid's. Later he even went on to ask for separate posters because he didn't want to share the space with Shahid on the movie poster. Bhansali even agreed to that. Well, that wasn't enough. Ranveer not only asked for a fee hike but he also told Sanjay Leela Bhansali to keep Shahid's role in the film only as a guest appearance. That's when Bhansali lost it and there were reports that he was so miffed with Mr Singh that he vowed to never ever work with him again.
However, all that is in the past now. They seem to have overcome the differences and the shoot will go on floors in October this year. With an overgrown beard and moustache, both Shahid and Ranveer have spotted sporting their Padmavati look. Remember Sasha was seen outside SLB's office three days ago carrying a brand new look? He was spotted with a handlebar moustache and a stubble. For all those who don't know, Shahid is going to be essaying the role of King Ratansen of Chittor. After Shahid, yesterday, Ranveer Singh gave us a glimpse of his look from Padmavati on Snapchat. And now, the actor is done with the look test too! Yes! His look test pictures have been all over social media and one of the fan pages on Twitter shared the pictures of a kohl-eyed Ranveer Singh.. The Befikre actor is going to play the role of Alauddin Khilji, who is smitten by Padmavati (Deepika). Going by the popular legend about Padmavati, Kijli was a ruthless king. Ranveer with his acting chops will for sure be able to pull that off.
While there were so many hurdles that Bhansali was facing, there were reports that the film might just get shelved. But we are glad to see that the director-actor duo have finally patched up. Thank God! And now that the look test for Ranveer is done, DP and SK's look test too will be done any time soon. A huge set has already been raised up at Bandra's Mehboob Studios wherein the first schedule of the film will begin.
