In an interview with Hindustan Times, Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has said he has spoken to Shah Rukh Khan about the box office clash between Raees and Kaabil.
Roshan said he told the actor that both films are not going to gain from the clash and added that he has no ego issues. It's superstition, he said, that's stopping him from changing the release date of his film.
"We have met a couple of times. I have told him that nobody is going to gain out of this clash. I have also explained to him that I can't shift my film's release date, as I am a little superstitious. I would have changed the date had I not announced the film. I don't have an ego."
Roshan added that announcing a film after knowing that there is another film scheduled to arrive on the same day is unethical'.
"I had announced my film in February last year. A sudden announcement about the release of another movie is a little unethical. However, I can't stop any film from releasing on the same day" Roshan said.
