Ok this actually struck my mind after PC's 'it's about the boobs & hips' comment. She was taken out of context now, because she was talking about the dance moves. But what struck me was how would I feel if she was talking about Hindi movies like that? I'm somebody who is very possessive about my country or kinda patriotic about it. It makes me a little upset when somebody points out the flaws even if they might be true! Like when somebody cracks jokes about public urination in India or dance breaking out in BW whenever. Now yes we have some pretty b grade stuff going on in BW, with cheap action and item numbers, but we are evolving and from the last decade we have been getting some amazing content churned out.

Also this doesn't just happen with people saying things but with movies showing such stuff too- like usually movies set up in Delhi will have the most bratty guys whose father control the legal system. Now it is true that there are guys like that but it might bring some dissapointment about your birthplace or something having the least safety for girls?

And not just India or Delhi- like the terrorism aspect always showing connected to Pakistan or Rascism or the the most snobbish people to show it is USA? Or people always taking advantage of each other in Mumbai! So how do you feel when this happens to you country/ place where you live? Do you feel embarrassed/ disappointed or can accept the truth as it is! 😳

I'm stealing clarity style of topics for the day! 😆

Boils my blood.
Indians themselves who are born here after going abroad start criticizing India angers me the most.
Not just India be it my city, state or even my work place. Comparing makes it all worst.

I'm very very patriotic I see so many pics of countries that are pretty too but I still find India the most beautiful and most interestingly cultured place in the whole world. I don't even wanna travel the world. I just wanna stay in India my whole life

so yeah I get very pissed whenever someone says anything bad about India. I know it has some problems like all countries but when people blatantly bash it it really bugs me 🤢

Iam very patriotic .like I know my country has got lot of issues n problems but I blv rather want them to be solved n wud like to be part rather than running away n just talking shot abt my country which nowadays loads of ppl do n that boils me off jo Bhi Ho deshdrohi mat Bano.anti country mat Bano n yeah that doesn't relate to government it's abt country as a whole .criticising or bashing govt irrational action is not bashing country but taking advantage of wrong doing of govt to go anti country or instigate others to follow same is terribly pathetic n wrong move for me

For instance Hindustan Muradabad Bharat tere tukde honge someone says it n I go burst out like anything.

Although I do feel bad, I do realise that different people = different minds = different thoughts/perspectives/idea/emotions and so on.

It's just natural for each person to have different kinds (conflicting as they may be) of views on ONE thing.

Sometimes I defend when there is a chance for discussing the issue in a constructive manner, sometimes I just listen to the conflicting ideas. Give their ideas a thought, if what they are saying is relevant? If it's not, I just forget.

When people badmouth, really, should we give any importance to such a person? It doesn't bother me. Their awareness on the subject they are talking about is clearly reflecting in their words.

I get irritated when people speak about beggars on Indian streets. (When western countries millions of people who do nothing good except queuing up once a week for benefits). Even beggar has to do some work. Waking up early in morning, be on the street and walk till late night. The benefit guys do nothing,

If its a genuine fact I will accept it but if its just a statement made to sound cool in the west then I will feel bad and its not like other countries around the world are perfect with perfect people , administrations etc all have their flaws but people there don't go abt ridiculing those flaws then why should we rather if you find somehing wrong work to make it right in yr capacity!

It all depends upon the intent behind the statement and also context and person saying it.
I am Indian who has lived in 15 states of India and 4 countries of world !! No place is perfect, even prestine Switzerland has its flaws !!
I accept all criticism with Sense of humor and give it back in same sense of humor .

My Gran always says
Don't call a Langda ( lame ) " aye Langde, Teri tang kaise tut gayi", instead ask how did your leg break politely !!
