The episode begins with Pinky shocking everyone when she raises her voice in the matter of women's rights, as was being argued among the men and Dadi. Everyone gets really emotional when Pinky opens up about how she has always felt like an outsider in the Oberoi family because she isn't as educated as Jaanvi or comes from a well-off family. She tells everyone how Dadi, Shakti and even Shivaay are all embarrassed of her. She talks about how she has always been but a comic relief to the family, and no one of value. Dadi assures her that she has never favored Jaanvi over her that to her, she's not only equal to Jaanvi but the men in the family too.
Tej asks Priyanka if she ever felt that she's any lesser than her brothers in the opinion of his family, to which she said no. He jokingly instructed her to pull his ears and teach him a lesson if he ever makes her feel that way in future. Shivaay and Pinky get tearful. The family has a moment.
The next day, the mansion is elaborately decorated since its Ganpati Pooja. The boys along with Priyanka bring home the idol of Lord Ganesha. While Tej is wondering whether he should go and get Jaanvi from her parents' house, Anika arrives and Shivaay is apparently smitten for a moment or two. Dadi speaks to the boys about how to maintain a harmony between the old and the new when Omkara tells Shivaay and Rudra that he has made the Ganpati idol out of ecofriendly material. Anika informs everyone that there is a surprise and also that she's prepared some dish for them. Shivaay says that Anika is not normal and that they should all be cautious of what she's planning. Rudra praises Soumya after asking if Soumya is in on the prep too, but when Soumya does turn up, he picks up his usual fight with her. This sudden change in behavior makes Shivaay and Omkara suspicious. Then, Omkara receives a phone call.
Turns out, Jaanvi's phone was busy when Tej called because she had called Omkara to tell him to sort out his father's clothes for him. Omkara tells Tej that despite his Nani's being ill, Jaanvi took out the time to call him and make sure Tej gets his clothes and everything ready without inconvenience. The son advices her father rather confidently to find a way out to pacify Jaanvi, she who takes such care of him despite what he's done to her.
Anika's surprise which is apparently a group of dhol walas arrive. However, they first need to be checked for security by the guards. In the pre-cap, it is shown that Gayatri was hidden inside one of the dhols.
