Hey guys, yesterday's episode left me at a loss of words. It was so spellbinding and so well written. No words would suffice. A lot of you guys have done excellent analysis and hence I'm not delving into that territory. That's been taken care of. After watching yesterday's Shravan scene's there was a poem by Rumi that came to my mind. It's as though it's been written for Shravan. So I thought I'd share it here with a little interpretation as to why I feel it's got Shravan written all over it.
The Wanderer
It isn't aimlessly through streets
And bazaars that I wander
It's for a glimpse of her, my love
Intoxicated, I squander
My time like a vagabond
Weaving idle rings
Arounds my lover's haunts
And yet consciousness clings
To that one purpose. I beg
You, have mercy on me Lord
A sinful wretch distraught,
How can broken hearts afford
To be still? A million souls
Delved in this ocean's swell
Searching in their hearts
For the pearl inside the shell
So come my love, be kind to homme
A wanderer without a home.

Here's how I look at it:
It isn't aimlessly through streets
And bazaars that I wander
It's for a glimpse of her, my love
Intoxicated, I squander
Isn't this how Shravan is these days? Wandering aimlessly for one glimpse of Sumo, intoxicated always to see her as he loved her just once even if in his hallucinations... He is dying each moment to be with her like they were earlier.
My time like a vagabond
Weaving idle rings
Arounds my lover's haunts
And yet consciousness clings
He reminisces the times that were, he lives in the past for his semblance. His past comforts him, for where she lives he thrives. But his ego, his today does not let him. Try as he may, he cannot look past the happenings of today.
To that one purpose. I beg
You, have mercy on me Lord
A sinful wretch distraught,
How can broken hearts afford
Every now and then he looks up to the skies begging for mercy. His only questions being, "Why me? Why always me?" Yesterday, his laugh when he fell was proof of the fact that he is tired. And now so helpless that he can do nothing but laugh at his loneliness. His heartbreak is such, no man can endure.
To be still? A million souls
Delved in this ocean's swell
Searching in their hearts
For the pearl inside the shell
He spoke to his love, his best friend, the Sumo of yore. He clings to the only shard of light in his life, his love for her. He delves deeper into the ocean of life, of torment only to find that pearl that lights up his life, the love that keeps him alive.
So come my love, be kind to homme
A wanderer without a home.
His pleas to Sumo, to save him. For without her, he is homeless, for without her, he is aimless, for without her, he would all but die.
