I think in everyone's life there will be some things that makes them appear lucky to the world, some things that look like setbacks in a so-called "perfect life", making them seem unlucky in some aspects. But there is no such thing.. Everyone's life has some setbacks, some blessings.. it's just what it is. No one's life is fully perfect or no one is falls into two slots - lucky or unlucky. If a person seems lucky, it's just from where we stand and see and what appears to be - nothing more.

EDIT -- On being married into image-conscious family, conservative in-law, underachieving husband... these things I doubt would make her feel unlucky about her life. See, when you are married, you only care about love between family members. No family is so perfect that you wouldn't have differences in thoughts/ideas with other family members, such differences are common. We have these differences with our parents too.. it's all about compromising, adjusting, more importantly accepting and tolerating - because the familial bond is much bigger and these small differences are very petty in comparison.

And, we are speaking as outsiders, we don't know if AB Sr is really as conservative as the media is projecting. And, we don't know if she is alright with everything, what appears unfair to you and me, may not even seem unfair for a person in that family. We are mere outsiders.

why is beauty the majoring yardstick, if a person is beautiful, she deserves a good life...if a person is ugly, she deserves the hardship.

There are people who would give anything to have half the privileges that she has. People dreaming of one bhk in mumbai, whereas she owns a bunglow, which they dont even use.

When mumbai was flooded with rains, and people lost their life long belongings, with everything washed away. BMC posted a water pump right outside AB's bunglow, just cause Jaya bachchan told in Rajya Sabha that Amitabh couldnt bath for two days.

I think this family enjoys lots of privileges in life, just cause of their name, and So does Aishwarya cause she is a part of that family now (ofcourse she had those privileges earlier too, cause of her own name). So just cause she faces a few hardships i wont' call her unlucky. There are people facing far more then her.

it is...you know how terrible the situation was...house were flooded, esp people living in chawls...they had no food as everything washed away...they had no place to sleep...but this woman had only one argument in rajya sabha, that how Amitabhji hasn't showered since two days...

this whole family was safely perched on the first floor of their bunglow as the ground floor was flooded, so the bmc fitted a water pump right outside their bunglow. and till date, every year, no matter what hardships we common people face, but one water pump is always stationed outside their bunglow.

I've always felt SRK has lived with utmost sadness in his life. Sometimes, even if you have everything, there's not this innate happiness. He looks a bit better now than AbRam is here though, got to admit.

I don't see that kind of sadness in Aishwariya. Probably because she's always been hard to read for me in interviews/off screen etc. I don't think she's specifically 'sad'. Though there does seem to be this whole air of something dull and mysterious around her life. Maybe on introspection, it's hard to bear the burden of being labelled as 'the most beautiful BW actress' or 'bahu of the one of the most prestigious families'. She's looked happy to me with her husband/in-laws/kid whenever pictures have come out, but then, who knows the real situation in the house?

One thing though, I do feel this whole 'conservative image demand' from the Bachans is a bit over-exaggerated. It isn't easy to have the most beautiful/successful wife internationally from BW as well as being the son of a superstar, when you've had such a short lasting career, but Abhishek has done a good job. He's always vouched about her achievements. Abishek-Aish have always looked like a very committed and secure couple to me.
