Yes, the National Award-winning actor is all set to essay the role of a transgender in a Bengali film titled Aami Saira Bano. What's interesting is that he has even shaved his body for the role, says a report in Mumbai Mirror. "It's a story about a boy who is a girl from inside and is drawn towards the transgender community who rechristen him Saira Bano. It was a fascinating story and character and challenged me as an actor," says Rajkummar. He even spent two months learning Bengali and spent time with some transgenders in Kolkata listening to their stories.

The film being directed by a debutant director Rahul Mukerjee and is being produced by Hasibul Haque. But the shoot has been stalled because there are some financial issues that need to be resolved. Once that happens, Raj will resume working on the project. Almost 80 percentage of the film has already been shot. This is the first time we will see a Bollywood hero essay the role of a eunuch.
