@Nith: (Sorry I don't know Ur real name) Thanks for agreeing abt mine self -respect rant.. 😆 but yes.. that's what I tell Sumo has this fear.. that people will help her.. n den de will tell her n give lectures on what de have done for her.. U know when Shravan first did call sumo during PCT matter.. she was listening n was even thinking to take his help.. why not he is her best friend.. but when he uttered his papa's name.. she backed off.. she didn't want Ramu kaka's help anyhow after knowing how he is? in real.. Friday epi.. I was shocked.. with Ramu kaka's behaviour he was talking with her.. a girl n a lady.. but he behaved really like MCP.. he behaved same with nirmala.. n even after seeing shravan in pain.. he is just feeling bad nothing else.. it's like he wants only Shravan to be with him..nothing else.. he has nothing to do with Shravan's happiness..

Wonderful post. People forget how hard her life must have been and how many times she depended on her own for a little little things. Ironically after all her self-respect jaap, shravan says that she "used" him. Its like she was accused for one thing that she worked so hard to avoid.

I think with shravan we all tend to forgive or at least justify a lot of his behaviour by saying "poor boy, so unloved, so tortured" ... maybe because we all love namik so much so that it transfers to his character

Also, a part of the reason is the show itself. We rarely see Sumo sitting around and moping or indulging in self pity. But we do get a lot of scenes where shravan keeps remembering his pain from the past.


2 scenes which i hated (besides all those recent shravan talking nonsense scenes)

- When mami was crying about her unluckiness when sumo almost got raped. Like W*F! This scene alone shows that sumo is not loved by her "family"

- When shravan told her "no one wants you". That is like hitting someone on their weakest spot. Its one thing that every orphan fears.


Thats why i tend to be more pro-sumo. I think she is more un-loved and un-cared for among the two and sometimes i just want to give her a hug

Well said! Having self respect is a good thing and esp. For an orphan girl. She has been raised by a family that constantly reminds her of what thwy have done. So, in that case.. Its a perfect trait to protect hersel 👏
