I am neither aswaki nor ashvi fan bt from last week episodes analysis according to my opinon kvk did stop bindusar killing Jagannath before ashok only .bt wat did ashok do he attacked Jagannath (he is completely wrong he should nt insult magadh and his parents) bt the main reason kvk gave him slap bcoz of uncontrolled anger she mentioned it also .and i agree partof it bcoz Jagannath is her father i dont deny it bt anybody in her place vil react the same way .bt the main reason is was his anger .she mention it that how can he fulfill akhand bharath and also she mention it that u vil destroy everything with this anger .kalinga war vil be d proof of her words.bt wat did ashok do .he took revenge on her without thinking even for a while and devi also didnt oppose it so reaction of kvk is quite natural
Actually in my view the whole marriage sequence should not be like this they spoiled everything .especially ashok kvk and devi characterization
I accept kvk blame magadh bt that is also natural after that happened nobody especially dharma who encouraged to get married to ashok came to talk to her .
I respectfully disagree (for some parts, I do agree that the CVs ruined it).
Kaurvaki has been promoted in such a way that she is the end all, be all for Ashok's existence. Without her, Ashok is nothing but Patrick Star, brainless and worthless. Kaurvaki channels all of Ashok's emotions into goals (so to speak) and it allows him to achieve much more because she connects with him on a soul-basis. For example, in the duel between Vikatakura, Kaurvaki was instructing Ashok how to fight / defend / to escape from the net. Kaurvaki wasn't shouting, she was whispering it to herself and she was quite some distance away. All she did was tie a Raksha-Kavach (which mind you, fell during the battle) - but Ashok gives the credit to Kaurvaki immediately. It's because of Kaurvaki that Khondana's secret hide-out was found, and let's not forget she also battled Uttar and saved Ashok's life from Sushim. She and Ashok were soulmates ...
But slowly Kaurvaki began to change. For all the things she said and knew about her father, she never hesitated to defend him. It's not a bad thing, but look at the circumstances - she left her father performing the final rituals of "herself" to be with Ashok. She didn't bother to invite her father to the wedding, nor did she care about them UNTIL they showed up, courtesy of Ashok's weird need to have Jaggu's permission, and Bindusar's stupidity. After he showed up, Kaurvaki tried her best to save the marriage in whatever way. Sure Devi helped screw up sometimes (with her advice on hiding Jaggu's crime from Ashok), but for the most part, it falls on Kaurvaki.
It culminates in Ashok betraying his own kingdom by hiding Jagganath's crime because Kaurvaki makes him swear on her. That's selfish and to help Ashok in ABN requires someone who is selfless.
That all being said, Kaurvaki hasn't struggled for love. She hasn't, but since we've heard it so many times in the show, it got stuck in our heads. When she went out searching for Ashok, she didn't do so only with her trusty companion Bella. She took a whole entourage to ensure her princess needs are fulfilled. A couple of meals every day, a warm comfy bed (so I imagine), etc. After she escaped from Jaggu again, sure she "struggled" alone, but that was until the next morning when she found Ashok. Once she came to Pataliputra, she wasn't faced with any issues. Devi took on most of the hassles for her.
Let's move on to trust: Trust can be defined as a
firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone (google). Kaurvaki's trust was never broken by Dharma, Vitt, Bindusar, Ashok, or Devi; Kaurvaki broke that trust herself when she refused to stand up for the truth. Remember that scene where Jaggu's crime was being hidden by Ashok. It took a fight scene and Dharma to threaten suicide for Kaurvaki to confess the truth. Is that trust? Kaurvaki forcing Ashok to hold back from bringing Jaggu's crime, is that trust? Kaurvaki hearing the insults of the Mauryans who cared for her - particularly the nasty insults of Dharma - from her father, is that trust? No. The truth of the matter is that everything is bent and skewed out of proportions for Kaurvaki. Jagganath tells everyone that Dharma slept her way "to the top" (so to speak), and Kaurvaki stays silent. This is the same Dharma who went out of her way to favor Kaurvaki over everyone else. She stayed silent. Is that trust? No. Ashok may have acted in anger, but his anger was justified. Everyone was silently listening to the insults.
Devi stood by Kaurvaki the entire time, but she never got anything back but insults. Kaurvaki didn't like it when Devi hugged Ashok, she didn't like it when Devi "interfered" a few times, and she told Ashok that Devi wouldn't marry him. I would argue that she never saw Devi as a friend, but as someone who can make her so called "struggle" easier.
Ashok's reaction - marrying Devi - was instigated by Kaurvaki herself. She said that no girl would marry such a Chand.
Finally, why should anyone come to talk to Kaurvaki, including Dharma? She openly bashed Ashok, she refused to stand up for the people who were shipping her and Ashok, and instead sided with her criminal father who was trying to do nothing but separate AshWaki. Devi meeting her was plain stupid. I agree that everyone shares some blame, but Kaurvaki holds the most blame because everyone stooped down for her and Ashok's milan, but she never bowed before anyone and continued to expect people to bow down to her after the incident (at least that's how I see her saying "rani dharma must have come to see me')
