Nawazuddin Siddiqui is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Freaky Ali. The film is directed by Sohail Khan and produced by Salman Khan. He is also going to start shooting for Photographer, directed by his Lunchbox director Ritesh Batra.
The film will go on floors next year in June-July 2017. Talking about his role to a popular tabloid, Nawaz stated, "It's based on a photographer's life and I play the photographer." The talented actor will be seen alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Rahul Dholakia's Raees. When asked about his experiments with different roles, the Maanjhi actor said, "I've tried to put myself in an uncomfortable zone because that's when you give your best. I will accept anything different that comes my way."
In Freaky Ali, Nawaz will be playing the role of a golfer and is modelled on Anirban Lahiri, Aditi Ashok and Tiger Woods. "This is the first time I'm playing a full-fledged romantic hero and I've begun to enjoy the genre," stated Nawaz about his role. The Gangs of Wasseypur actor was further asked about his next plan of action. To which he said, "I'd like to attempt a historical next, a character like Dilip Kumar's Salim in Mughal-E-Azam which is one of my dream roles."
The Badlapur actor has acted alongside Salman Khan in two films, Kick and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. And, Raees will be his first outing with SRK. Talking about his equation with both the Khans, Nawaz said, "Shah Rukh is very humble around his co-actors, with Salman Bhai it's always fun, there is no stress on set when he's around."
