Part - 10

Ruhi yawned cutely & stretched her little hands & legs. Then she sat up on her crib, scratching her head messing her already messed up hair. She was confused where she was. She turned to her side & found her momma and papa sleeping on the bed hugging each other. Ruhi smiled & stood up from her crib attached to the bed & walked closer to them wobbling on the bed. She threw her one leg over her momma hip & then brought her other leg too to the other side as she laid down squeezing her body between them. She felt so jammed so she pushed her Momma's hand off her Papa's stomach making her moan in her sleep but she didn't wake up. Then Ruhi scooted up & settled herself comfortably on her Papa's chest.

Feeling some weight on him, Rk slowly opened his eyes drowsily & soon his lips quiver up to a smile seeing Ruhi lying on him as if he was her comfy bed. "My baby" Rk whispered & hugged Ruhi.

He got so used to her sleeping on him unlike the first time when she sat on him while he was sleeping, he just picked her up like a flower bunch & dropped her down on the floor making her cry.

She lifted her head up to face her Papa & smiled at him and then she leaned forward & gave her Papa a good morning kiss.

"Why you are up so early, darling?" Rk asked kissing her back.

"Boo.. Boo..." Ruhi said. That was her way of saying she was hungry.

"You want boo?" Rk asked in surprise. Feeding Ruhi was one tough task. Madhu had to run behind Ruhi to feed her four spoon of porridge.

Ruhi nodded her cutely.

"Okay, I will wake up your momma so she can feed you boo boo" Rk turned to Madhu & that was when he realized their sleeping position last night. Weren't they hugging each other & sleeping?

Rk found Madhu sleeping pretty close to him making him jump out of the bed clutching Ruhi to his chest.

"Great escape!" Rk sighed loudly.

"Papa" Ruhi called sweetly placing her hand on his cheek. She was confused why her dad jumped like that.

"Oh darling!" Rk pressed his lips on Ruhi's forehead. Silently thanking her for waking him up before her mother could wake up & go bat-shit crazy on him for sleeping so close & hugging her.

"What you two are doing?" Madhu asked with her eyes half open.

"Huh! Nothing. Just kissing my daughter wishing her good morning."

"Oh!" Madhu smiled seeing Ruhi smile at her.

"Sleep, okay?" Rk asked.

"Yeah, I slept well. Strangely!" Madhu mumbled trying to remember last nights event. As far as she could remember she slept on the couch then how come she could be on bed? She wondered.

"I was sleeping on the couch nah? Then how..." before she could probe him he cuts her off.

"Madhu, Ruhi woke me up. She is hungry. Come feed her."

"Oh! Where you waiting for me to get up? You could just go feed her nah?"

"Why? You want her to puke on my face? She never eats when I feed her." Rk still didn't get the reason why she wasn't letting him feed. "She loves to play with me, sleep on my chest, let me hold her in my arms, kiss me lovingly on my cheeks even without I ask her to kiss me. She even lets me bath her but why she always spit out the food when I feed her?" Rk asked to Madhu.

"I don't know!" Madhu shrugged her shoulder & got out of the bed.

"Bring her to the kitchen. I will make her baby food." Madhu said tiredly & walked out of the room not before ruffing Ruhi's hair lovingly.

"Why you aren't letting Papa to feed you boo boo?" Rk asked faking sadness.

Ruhi gave her Papa a gurgle of laughter.

"My naughty girl!" Rk pinched her chubby cheek gently & set her down on the chair.

"Papa... here" Ruhi pointed to the dining table. She got that as a habit to sit on table instead of chair.

"Okay, Sweetie!" Rk scooped her up & placed her on the center of the glass table.

"Madhu, shall I order breakfast for us from the hotel restaurant?" Rk asked. Madhu nodded.

"You look tired. Why don't you go back to bed and sleep?" Rk suggested her.

"I guess I will after feeding Ruhi." she said. "Baby, here." Madhu took a spoon full of food & for the first time Ruhi ate her food without making her momma run behind her or simply waste the food by spitting it out.

After eating four spoons of food she got bored with the tasteless porridge so she took a bunch of grapes from the fruit basket kept on the table and popping it in her mouth.

"Momma.. ahh" She asked her momma to open her mouth so she can feed her grapes.

"You eat, sweetie." Madhu smiled at Ruhi caressing her head.

"Papa... ahh" She turned to her papa & stretched out her hand which was holding two grapes.

"You eat, sweetie." Rk said the same with a smile. Ruhi got so pissed at her parents for refusing to eat from her so she threw the grapes angrily & turned the other way facing away from them and held her head down. Rk and Madhu shared a look & Rk dragged Ruhi back, she came skating on the glass table & Rk hugged her close to his chest from behind.

"Sorry, baby" Madhu cupped Ruhi's face and pleaded her to forgive them.

Ruhi tilted her head back and looked at her dad. Rk gave her a confusing look.

"Say sorry to her." Madhu mouthed at him. "Oh" his mouth formed to "O" as he looked at her daughter in surprise. "For crying out loud she is not ever 2 yrs old. She is just 1 year and 6 months old baby then how come she be so sensitive, so smart and intelligent?" Rk wondered, open mouthed.

"She is still waiting!" Madhu snapped at him.

"Oh.. Um... I am sorry, baby" Rk gave his cute puppy eyes. Ruhi still had a cute little frown. Rk held his ears & in a pleading tone he asked "Sorry" Then Ruhi smacked a kiss at his cheek forgiving him. she pulled the hem of her momma's shirt, when Madhu bend down she kissed her momma's cheek too. Ruhi took another bunch of grapes from the basket and offered to her parents & this time they ate it without a word.

"She wants everything to happen in her way." Rk mumbled with a chuckle. Madhu nodded in agreement brusquely.

"I know you hate me but you can smile at me at times" Rk said with a teasing smile. Madhu glared at him but tried hard to hide her smile which was about to form on her lips.

"So you don't want to go out, touring?" Rk asked.

"I'm really tired, Rk."

"Oh! Okay. I have to go check how the refurbishing work is going on at our place."

"Okay. When we will be moving there?"

"Next week probably."

"Can I see our home tomorrow?" Madhu asked. Rk's heart warmed hearing her say 'our home'

"Sorry, we will be touring Paris the next few days & you & Ruhi will see our home the day we move in."

"Oh why?"

"Just wanna surprise you too." Rk shrugged. Madhu gave him a suspicious look.

"Can you take Ruhi with you? So that I can rest." Madhu said.

"You alight, Madhu? Are you not feeling well? You want me to call the doctor?"

"No. I am fine. Just tiredness." Madhu reassured him.

"If you say so... but still I am gonna stay here with you. You don't worry I will look after Ruhi & you can sleep in the bedroom peacefully & before that have your breakfast. I will wake you up at lunch time."

"You don't want to check on the work sight?"

"That can wait. Anyway Bittuji has gone there to see how the house is shaping."

Madhu nodded her head and then looked down at Ruhi who was playing with her Papa's shirt button.

"Baby, play will Papa, Okay?" Madhu said.

"Okiee" Ruhi sang in her baby voice repeating her momma's word.

(Next day)

"Madhu you ready?" Rk asked entering into the bedroom & Madhu just walked out of the dressing room carrying Ruhi in her arms. Both Mom and daughter were wearing in matching. Blue skinny jeans & White T-shirt. Rk looked down at his attire. Blue jeans & Black shirt? Nah! He quickly rushed back to the other room where he had kept his luggage, he took out a white lenin shirt & quickly changed in it & walked back & found them in the dining hall. Ruhi drinking milk from her sipper bottle as ever sitting on the table with legs out stretched.

Once Ruhi was done drinking, Madhu let Rk take Ruhi in his arms while she grabbed her handbag.

Rk passed their room key to the receptionist, to Rk's luck it wasn't the eye f**king bitch but an elderly lady who gave him a polite smile & said "Bonne Journee" (have a good day) & Rk returned her smile.

Then taking Madhu's hand he lead her to the waiting Renault sedan. They three took their seat in the rear seat as the drive drove them to the Eiffel Tower. Bittuji had organized the driver guy who will also be their guide in the tour.

"You have been here right? Then you need a guide?"

"Yeah but I am not keen on the routes of the places we are going." Rk said matter-of-fact. He wasn't a born french man right? He just visited the place for quite a number of times & stayed there. His interest on French language made him learn it. Apart from that he had no connection with France.

"I hope Ruhi stays awake. I don't want her to miss seeing the glorious Eiffel tower."

"I heard Eiffel tower is one beauty watching at night with all the light decorations?" Madhu asked.

"It's already 4 in the evening. We will spend some time in the park near Eiffel tower, well the park is not too close but a mile away still you will get the perfect view of the tower. After spending time in park playing with Ruhi we will go see the tower in close, what say?"

"Sounds like a plan." Madhu gave him a genuine smile & turned her head towards the window to look out the new city.

"Set her down. Let her walk." Madhu instructed him when they started walking near the park.

"Okay." Rk gently made Ruhi stand on her feet & Rk took Ruhi's ne hand & Madhu held Ruhi's other hand making her walk steady.

"We will sit there." Madhu pointed to the place where there was less crowd.

"We should have brought a blanket." Rk said in disappointment but then his driver came running to them with a mat for them to put and sit down on the grass.

"Bittuji thoughts of everything." Rk said with a chuckle. He ever organized for a mat guessing they will go to park where they will need it.

Madhu spread the mat on the ground & they three sat on it. Madhu pulled her knees up & hugging them, she looked at the gigantic Eiffel Tower in awe.

"Hmm..." Rk sighed & flopped back, lying down on the mat.

"Hmphhh" Ruhi sighed & flopped back too but before she could hit her head on the ground Rk placed his palm at the back of Ruhi's head making her lie back slowly. Ruhi giggled & moved closer to her dad to play with him.

Rk let Ruhi play with his gelled hair so that she can mess it.

"You are no less than your momma in giving champi (head massage) to Papa" Rk said enjoying the soft touch of his daughter.

Madhu turned her head & looked at Rk lying beside her. She had this sad look on her face as she remembered the time with him. The time she used to massage his scalp when he return home tiredly after shooting. They start with head massage, then she will land on his lap as they kiss senselessly, then he will carry her to the bed & make love to him. Madhu quickly closed her eyes & shook her head to clear her thoughts. Rk realized what she was thinking & once again the guilt spread over his body like a poison.

"Madhu..." he started.

"Please don't say anything." Madhu stopped him. Rk nodded his head & shut his mouth. Ruhi lost interest playing with his hair so she focused on plucking the grass & putting it on her Papa's head. She liked to decorate her Papa's messed up hair.

Rk closed his eyes to relax. Madhu was watching a couple sitting in front of them with so much interest. The couple shared a french kiss making Madhu turned her face as her cheek heated up.

She watched the girl say something to the guy in his ear. Suddenly the guy went stiff as she looked at her as if she was a ghost.

Then the guy started shouting at the girl in the park. Rk got startled & sat up & looked at the guy and the girl with equal interest of Madhu's. The guy was shouting at her & the girl stood there with her head down, her fingers knitted as she cried.

"What is he saying?" Madhu ask Rk curiously.

"Um.. huh.." Rk didn't know how to say what the guy told her.

"You know French right? Then translate me." Madhu said getting pissed with his silence.

"Je deteste salope" the guy spat at the girl.

"What he said?" Madhu pulled Rk's shirt sleeve. Rk kept his mouth shut.

Then the guy said view harsh words in a softer tone apart from one word which he almost screamed. "... Chienne!!!" after that the guy walked away leaving the girl crying.

After few minutes of crying the girl composed herself & slowly started walking towards their side when Ruhi screamed "Chienne..." at the girl. Ruhi got the habit of repeating words which she hear abd also were easy for her to say.

"Ruhi! Shut up!" Rk snapped at Ruhi. Ruhi got scared & moved to her momma & hugged her. She started trembling as tears slipped down her pink cheeks.

"Pardon!" Rk said sorry to the girl. She smiled at him & then looked at Ruhi. "Une si belle famille" the girl said with a sad smile and walked away.

"Why you shouted at my baby? Who gave you the right? See, she is crying" Madhu shouted at him for raising his voice at her baby girl & making her cry.

"do you know what 'Chienne' means?" Rk asked through gritted teeth.

"What?" She barked at him.

"Bitch!"

"How dare you call me bitch."

"Oh God! I didn't call you bitch. It's the meaning of that word." Rk explained.

"Ruhi baby, stop crying. That's a bad word. You should not use it." Rk pulled Ruhi's from Madhu's lap & cooed her. He felt hurt seeing his little angel cry because of him. "I am so sorry, Darling"

"Well, she doesn't know the meaning of the word... so there wasn't any need to snap her. She is just a baby." Madhu said defending her daughter.

"I know I am sorry."

"Well what the girl said?"

"I said sorry to her & she said such a beautiful family."

"Oh! Why she looked so sad? What the guy said to her? A minute back they were happy... they were all touchy & kissy then what went wrong?" Madhu asked.

"Madhu, just drop the topic. We are here to enjoy our time not to discuss about other people's personal life." Rk said fervently willing that she stop with her probing.

"Tell me!"

"Okay fine!" Rk sighed as he patted Ruhi calming her down. "The girl just said she was pregnant with his child & the guy didn't believe her... he said few harsh words..."

"What he said exactly?" Madhu asked gritting her teeth.

"He said 'I hate you s**t'... keep f**king around and get pregnant you bitch. Well, Bitch was the last word he said pretty loudly which Ruhi repeated. I don't want our daughter to use such word so I chided her."

"All men are bas***ds!" Madhu spat the word venomously looking Rk with hatred. Rk was taken aback hearing her. Then he realized the reason for her sudden anger. Didn't he tell those words to her? Well, not shout like that asshole but in a modified way he told the same things to Madhu, didn't he? His past! His f**king past came to bite him in the ass! Rk closed his eyes in frustration.

"Give my baby. I am going back to the hotel." Madhu stood up & took Ruhi from Rk's lap & walked away without waiting for him.
