You missed a lot. Chaitanya died because Inderjeet had him killed. Chaitanya's truth came out because of Inderjeet...Chaitanya is the illegitimate child of Sharda's husband. Chaitanya's real mom gave big sacrifice for Sharda, and that is why Sharda has always loved Chaitanya so much. Sharda threathen Inder that she will divide the property, or even throw him out is he doesn't accept Chaitanya as his brother. Inder then has Chaitanya killed by goons who beat him up. Inder tells Sharda he killed Chaitanya, Sharda pulls a gun on Inder saying then you will have to die. Manoch shoots Sharda and kills her before she can shoot inder. Chaitanya and Sharda are put in a car, and the goons through it down a cliff, and it burst into flames.
