My take on plot and characters

I have seen so many posts about people acting out of character or judging is sona should move on or not. I have seen some posts that said sona never loved dev etc..

I thought of making this post to put forward what i think instead of responding on multiple threads..

This week dev broke up with sona.. He saw that his mom took an extreme step and decided to commit suicide(he doesn't know that it was accidental over dose) and he heard that she is not happy with his relationship with sona and she thinks she is a bad mom as she is not able to find happiness in her son's happiness and this caused her to take the extreme step..

Under these circumstances there is only one way to absolutely make sure that this suicide attempt doesn't happen again in future.. That is to end the relationship that is causing so much pain to his mother.. While I understand that dev would not have thought of any other alternative other than saying it on sonas face and breaking up. One good way anyone would have dealt with this situation is by discussing the case with sona and mutually agree to separate(temporarily or permanently). If dev acted like this then he would have been out of his character. So he behaved exactly how his character should have behaved - took impulsive single sided decision and announced it to sona.. Sona knows that love is not a problem but the trust and respect are lost due to this impulsive decision..

Sona knows there is no way ishwari will easily agree and even if she agrees it is only halfheartedly and she may attempt suicide again.. Since dev broke her trust and she felt that dev never trusted her that she thinks his mom as her mom and would never ask him to do anything that would harm her... Sona would have waited for dev until dev figures out why his mother doesn't want her.. But dev did not leave that option and brokeup.
He said that he is not even going to try.
After all this she still waited a night expecting dev to call her or come to her saying that he was wrong in taking the impulsive decision. But dev did not come and sona is heart broken and saw no option but to try to move on..

Now i am sure ishwari marriage consultancy drama will happen first and there will be a bijoy- ishwari or sona- dev face off..

Bijoy wants her daughter to move on. So he is doing what any concerned parent would do... Looks like sona finds a job and dev still keeps stalking her and interfering with her job etc... Clearly he is doing this only for selfish reasons- his love and his guilt and acting protective of her... But he wont come and talk to her to get back together... Nor would he ever do it if sona just lets him go on this way.

There is no future in this. Dev wants to sacrifice his life and sonas life along with it by stalking her..

So looks like bijoy finally found a boy for her. She might know that family already and she was seen smiling when they came to bose house as she probably doesn't know the reason for their visit. Bijoy may ask her to try and move on and she may agree to meet the boy. Clearly she told him all about her relationship with dev and may also tell him it is not possible to love or like him immediately but she will try and cant promise.
So ritwick might say its ok lets be friends for now.. I am sure dev would again interfere here and may be ritwick will act to bring sona and dev together. I am sure sona would say no to dev even if he comes back repenting. He broke her trust and it might take a while for his to become her worthy. I dont believe ishwari will agree but dev and sona will patchup eventually either as lovers or friends..(we know how persuasive dev is after he misbehaves with sona )... This will take us to the second promo...

Then the two will work on ishwari together...

Ishwari is a complex character right from the beginning. For me she cvs have kept her close to her character through out the show.
We saw her being possesive of dev and neha telling mami that mas ke darr se god made dev as single piece with out a partner.. So neha knows her mom from beginning.
Ishwari knows what is right and what is wrong. But when dev is in picture none of her rights/ wrongs apply. Her only motive is to keep him to herself and should never lose importance in his life. If he is happy then that should be only because of her. She gets jealous and obsessed if he is happy with some one else... This has always been her character...

Now with sonas entry, insecurity is added to the jealousy and obsession to retain her importance in devs life. This changes the whole equation and she behaves with unbelievable rudeness towards sona and stays in denial that dev is better off with out sona in his life.. Again being true to her character.

Again i dont defend her character and i dont approve that a mother should behave anywhere near how she is behaving right now... But what you should consider is that this is how CVs defined this character and yes they have chosen to take the extreme case. But all i want to say is ishwari is behaving exactly how her character is supposed to behave... I see people booing cvs that they are deviating from plot or cvs are assassinating the characters...

From where i see they are sticking to the plot as per initial promos and are building up the story staying true to the characters.

That is my take . Pls share your views. Sorry for long post. I just kept typing and this is not proof read.

Even I felt very bad at first and a little anxious when they introduced Rithwik but after reading what you have written I think most likely that's how CVs have planned it .
I do hope they stick to the main plot and build a nice romantic patch up after all this heart break

EXACTLY! i agree each and every point of you said. True! cv's are doing awesome job and so far they never messed up any character in this serial or we are seeing any unnecessary dialogues,,,, the script wise or acting or dialogues everything so far perfect to the core!!!!! hats of to the team!!!👏

I as a viewer maybe in the minority wanting sona to move on and maybe Easwari to understand how she has broken her son to the extent that he is lifeless.

You are not supposed to root for dev and sona at this point. Why would anyone want dev back in sonas life after what he did..and how he did it.. That is the story... At this point even though dev loves sona a lot .. Love is not enough there should be trust and respect in a relationship.

Road to redemption starts here for dev and the syory is allavout how he redeems himself and becomes worthy or sonas trust and respect and vice versa. Did u hear sona saying during breakup that she trusted him vut he nver trusted her that she is equally worried about ishwari and will never push him to take a route which can harm ishwari.
Honestly that is true.. All these days sona has been telling she is my ma too now but looks like dev never believed her...

Once dev redeems himself (he trusts sona with his mom) and that is when sona and dev will start work on redeeming ishwari by making her realize..

Other tv serials can be ended and pair can be united if everyone just talk to each other and clear misunderstandings. But here there is no misunderstanding. Everyone knows what is happening but no one can do anything about it.. It is a fight between mind and heart... Thats What i love about this show..
