Shonali, seeing Ragini's defence of Pari, there is really nothing left to be said about Ragini and Ragini-Ka-Logic jo sirf Ragini ko hi samajh aata hain.
Before Ragini was double crossed by Lakshya, she was not a women. She was crazy, emotionless, cunning, no holds barred, manipulative obsessive lover and apparantly obsessive lovers have no sex. Kya thi woh uss waqt, ussi ko pata hoga. I would like the cv's to throw some light on that. As per her dialogue of yesterday, she was not an aurat at time she accused Sanskaar of fake molestation.
Anyways, I think I have decoded the reason why Ragini is as she is.
Swaragini is the story of two sisters. These two sisters represent the two ends of the spectrum. They balance each other and thereby bring stability in their universe.
They represent Dualism of nature. E.g., Light and Dark, Bitheism and Ditheism, Yes and No, Shiv and Shav, Yin and Yang, Matter and Anti-matter etc.
On one end we have the modern Swara who is selfless, loves her family more that she loves herself, stands for what is right and fights against the wrong no matter what the odds are or how difficult and treacherous the path is. She does not bow down and cry and mope. She rears her head and fights back.
On the other end we have the traditional Ragini who is selfish, lovers herself first and then comes the family, stands for what works in her favour and opts for the shortest path that is usually fIlled wit lies and deceit. She cries and mops around when things don't go in her favour while blaming the world at large that people don't understand her. She fights back only when she is pushed to the corner.
So, just as right cannot flourish without wrong, day is always followed by night, head and tales are two sides of the same coin etc etc and one cannot exist without the other. Similarly Swara and Ragini are two ends of the spectrum wherein one cannot be without the other. The line 'Ek Duse Ke Liye Bani' is used for this very reason.
Swara and Ragini are poles apart, two sides of the same coin. They represent or stand for two contradicting view points that complement each other. That is why the show is named Swaragini and the two sisters who are different from every way possible but together they balance all the imbalance of their lives. Swaragini har mushkil ka Samna ek saath karegi aur Vijay hongi. I believe the Tamil version has therefore been named Ganga-Yamuna. Very apt.
