I do not watch this show and have no idea about these characters but the way people describe the lady seems too obsessed with her son.
Nowhere are Ranveer's parents/mom like that. It is all some speculation based on stupid blinds which are simply written for the sake of writing. They love Deepika btw.

Wonder when will people start treating oedipal complex as a real disease and seek therapy! Would save a million lives and a million marriages!
