parineeti Chopra body-shames' her friend on his birthday and Alia Bhatt comes to his defense

Parineeti Chopra and Alia Bhatt are pretty solid friends. So of course they have mutual friends as well. One such mutual friend had his birthday recently. Being on their Dream Team Tour in USA they could not wish him in person. So they decided to make a small video to wish their common friend and send it to him.

This somehow got leaked to a fan club of Parineeti's and they posted it on their Twitter account. The video has both Parineeti and Alia wishing that said friend, while they are driving. When Alia asks Parineeti what would she like to advise him on his birthday, Parineeti said Eat less, and become thin!'

Ouch! Now in a normal case, that would have been body shaming, especially since even Alia Bhatt reacted to this and behaved as if that was unfair. However, then we do say such things to our friends generally, don't we?

one thing we did find interesting is that Parineeti was once trolled by many for her weight when Kill Dil came out, and she had done a huge makeover to shed her flab and look so fit now. So either she had forgotten that, or she genuinely cares for the friend (BTW we checked his profile pic on Twitter, and didn't find him that fat, but then, that's us!).

Everybody makes fun of friends in a sportive way.
If somebody is offended they do not have real friends.

Pari did not say anything wrong.

Christ, she didn't slam her, all she said was arrey! Also, she didn't body shame her friend at ALL, all she said was eat less. I'm not the thinnest person on Earth (but not obese either) yet a couple of close friends call me moti, so that doesn't mean they're body shaming me, neither do I get offended. The media needs to stop making a mountain out of a molehill. Go focus on the Olympics, the Indian players need your (media) support.

Totally relevant, media is just creating hype for nothing here!! Giving more coverage to things things that deserve it, promote the players whos hard work goes unnoticed than reporting a friend's birthday wish
