Few episodes ago , Sona asked Dev if he was sure about her. Why was he so hesitant to tell his Ma about her? He replied it's not the right time. She felt insecure at that moment. Ishwari means the world to Dev, her approval means a lot to Sonakshi. Not that Ishwari was a paragon of wisdom but she held Dev up. Without his Ma, Dev will crumble.

She walked away unsure and troubled. Her dress got caught by a rosebush in the garden, and thought Dev had held her back. Turning, she saw that she was stuck all by herself. But Dev got up and came to release her from that obstacle.

Sona is insecure about whether she is acceptable for this family. Even his sisters had the same thought immediately when they heard.

Why? Is Sona not a decent girl, humble and loving? Is she not a professional , educated girl (more than ALL the Dixit girls put together?!) who earns her own living and does it extremely well too? Has she not gelled extremely well with everyone there except GKB and Vicky? She may not be rich and shiny but she is a gem far too precious to let slip away. Shame on the Dixit women for their hypocritical double standards. Ishwari just doesn't want any new girl to distract Dev from his maternal puja.

It was okay when Sona entertained Niki and Riya, and was their friend. Okay when she helped sort out Neha's pre wedding issues for Ishwari and Dev. But it came to her as Bahu, suddenly the house looks like a funeral is taking place.

Mothers like this usually choose a docile quiet girl who doesn't argue and would match her with her son. She missed that chance, so I'm not sorry for ishwari's troubles at all. GKB needs to get her own home like yesterday.

I think privately Niki and Riya would be thrilled for Dev and Sona, and would express them too. Just that Dev is forcing it down Ishwari's throat that it's awkward. It's like he needs to see that his mother is accepting, especially after her than less than enthusiastic response to their conversation about him being in love.

Latest , Dev sent a rose with a sweet message. I would like to say the rose is as beautiful as you, but I know you are more beautiful... . And Sona blushes, but stops to say, As beautiful as this rose is, it too has thorns. She is feeling the thorns in this rose garden of a relationship, and she is bittersweet about it.

Something is off about Ishwari, and her instinct is to back off. And she is right. ANd now that Bijoy knows, he is going to innocently go with his family to speak of new relationships. Thinking Ishwari is agreeable and happy, he is going to be shocked to see shock, disapproval and disdain at the Dixit house. And Sona can't explain all that away.

Because it is there...

I disagree that characters are being butchered. I feel everything is going exactly as planned. Dev wants to make his mother see how nice Sona is for him, and wants Sona to see how happy his Ma is for them. Unfortunately, it's just making things worse for both his Ma and Sona.

So her cooking tantrum didn't work, now she wants to attempt suicide to break off SOna and Dev's relationship?

Seriously, this is way off the line... No mother will do nonsense like this.
