It is only inspired from Devdas. They have not copied. The storyline has changed and hope it change further.

come on why do shows copy movies? kya dil mein hai (ekta's 9x serial with amir ali) used the saawariya backdrop for all her promos. and they have nothing to do with anything. in fact, even though they try to make the female lead dress like sonam kapoor from the movie, she looks totally out of place...everyone else around her dresses in churidar.

and of course this is going to remind of devdas if the costumes are exactly the same, the guy comes from abroad, they both are waiting for each other for years to unite their love, and there are characters called: chandra babu and paro....really, get original.
