all of Priyanka's covers and shoots recently have been quite diverse though...

Priyanka has won pretty much every major Indian poll this year be it Times Most Desirable or Maxim Hot 100 or Femina's most powerful. So there's enough excitement for people to be hardcore voting for her all the time. She's won numerous awards for Bajirao Mastani and even received a Padma Shri so she's not getting "viped" by any angle. It's just that most of the movies Priyanka gets offered are written only for her so you won't hear about other actress being considered for her roles or any over-hype. Like Kalpana Chawla biopic won't be offered to others, people won't know about Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra going to New York to narrate her a film. The only news about her that got out was about Gustakhiyan because they've been waiting months and months to get Priyanka's dates and it has already been pushed back so much. Priyanka doesn't really talk about her projects until it's confirmed and neither does her PR. Plus she hasn't picked anything yet... she can't shoot a Hindi film until March anyways so is taking her time. You can't create excitement for something that's not confirmed... well I mean you can but that's not Priyanka's style.
