Hello all,

Katrina fan here. I've seen so many of you associate the following phrases -> "expressionless" "can't emote" "can't act" "can't even say the dialogues properly" "can't even speak the accent properly" - with Katrina.

And this made me think. Before I ask, I want you let you know that I highly respect y'all opinions on Katrina even those of you who think Katrina Kaif is a shitty actress who does not belong in Bollywood, like ever and wish that those who "can act" are deserving of such titles like "Queen of Bollywood"

HAVING SAID THAT...

I want to ask one teeny weeny thing that could potentially cause a riot, or as I would hope, a fruitful discussion.

So here is my question that I would like for you to answer:

What is your definition of acting?

Final note: do not turn this to a war. I am merely curious to why all of you have such different perspectives on what acting is. I sometimes wonder if it is due to the way you perceive the world that influences the way you perceive what acting is? Just putting it out there.

To me it all comes down to how much I can relate them to. I don't gauge acting based on awards or reviews. If it strikes a chord and kept my interest up then Im sold.

For me, its simply about the other person being able to convince me of the emotions that he is shown to be experiencing in the scene.. I should be able to feel the pain/ love/ happiness or whatever the person is going through.. You do that, you are a good actor for me

Also I think acting has a lot to do with connect.. For example, I know Amir is a good actor but I somehow never liked his acting,. Why? Because I fail to feel his emotions barring a few movies

srk in chennai express, ra.one and devdas..they dont make actors like him anymore

I personally think the script plays a part in how one acts. But if they can make me feel something, then that's their job done.

Nowdays industry is all about supply and demand. Wonder why we are getting so many superhero movies in Hollywood?

Acting is where I get so lost in the CHARACTER that I cease to see the ACTOR who is playing it.

But then Amir usually has great scripts na but barring RDB and TZP, I did not feel his emotions in any movie.. I am not saying he is a bad actor.. i know he is quite good but the fact remains k he fails to come across to me so I do think individual preferences play a role.. The same goes for PC.. I just cannot connect with her
