Part 2:
Pushkar put a reassuring hand on Aditya's shoulder: So this is how it is going to go. Bhaiyya will come ask me where is Sumo and I will say, oh, I just saw her go up to the terrace to talk privately with Aditya.
Aditya jumped: Nehi! Yaar, today is supposed to be your wedding, not my antim sanskar. Pagal hai tu? Suman's terrace!? Tera Bhaiyya ke size dekha hai? Mera kofta bana dega woh, kofta!
Pushkar laughed: Arre yaar, Bhaiyya is harmless.
Aditya: Haan, bilkul. Issiliye woh dumb bell choddi thi mere upar at the simple mention of Sumo's name. He's only harmless to you people and Sumo, mere liye he's something else.
Pushkar: What? When did this happen?
Aditya: A few days ago, just cause I got Sumo a sale. OK? Tu kuch maat sooch, mujhe apna plan banane de. Or itna push nehi karna unko ke woh jealousy meh mujhe maar dale. You are my friend yaar, but I don't love you enough to die for you like that.
Pushkar smiled: Ok yaar, you do what you have to do. Just bring them closer so that they can admit their own feelings, that's all.
Preeti creeped into the kitchen behind Suman...
Preeti: Diii...why was Shravan here?
Sumo distracted: Arre, he has lost his mind. Pata nehi kaise kaise baate kar raha tha Aditya ke bare meh.
Preeti in fake interest: Really? Like what?
Sumo: Arre, he's worried that Aditya...wait, why are you here? This is your wedding day, why are you exposing yourself of all this kitchen masala and heat? You are supposed to go to the parlor soon. Ja, bhaag ab yaha se!
Preeti: Chali jaungi, pehle yeh batao ke kya hua Shravan ke aane ke baad.
Sumo blushed, thinking of that sweet kiss: Kuch nehi! Ja ab varna mami ko bulaungi.
Preeti left.
Suman sighed to herself: He wanted to know that my affection is not divided. Bohot possessive hai woh.
She smiled thinking of his reaction to Verma.
Shravan's room...
Shravan got dressed, smiling at himself, thinking about how Sumo has hugged him from the side and held his hand. They were so in tune, he could not believe how well they matched together. Was she aware how she behaved toward him? Did she see why people mistook her for his wife or girlfriend over and over? Pagal lardki, she probably had no idea.
Shravan looked at himself in the mirror. This will be nice. He had overheard that Sumo was going to wear a black saree today. Hopefully she got the hint when he went there matching her, but knowing her, she would just not notice.
Shravan sprayed some of his favorite perfume and went to see to Pushkar.
Shravan: Toh, damangji, aap ready hai?
Chachi was in the room fixing Pushkar's collar: Bas, mera sona munda, kinta sona munda hai mera baccha (she smacked kisses all over his face as Shravan smirked).
Pushkar blush: Stop na, Mamaaa!
Chachiji let go: Chal ja, nehi karti mein...kuch bhi! Anyway, I will save my voice for the wedding after seeing what Suman messed up this time.
Shravan defensively: Calm down, Chachi, nothing will go wrong when Sumo is at the helm.
At the wedding...
The five star hotel was everything Chachi could have wished for, Chachi sighed at the amazing decorations all around. Finally, the girl got it right. A friend of hers came to wish her and Chachiji smiled proudly going on and on about how his son deserved nothing but the best.
Shravan came up behind his beautiful Sumo: We match.
Sumo looked around: Wha-? (She looked him up and down, unable to hide her appreciation).
Shravan smiled, looking down at her, unable to avoid staring at her cavicle. She wore no jewelry except some simple earrings, she never needed anything more.
Shravan: I said, we match.
Sumo looked down at her golden bordered saree and said awkwardly: Haan, ah...what a coincidence.
Shravan softly: You look sexy.
Sumo dropped her cell phone: Kya!?
Shravan: I me-mean, you look pretty.
Sumo: I must have heard you wrong (she laughed awkwardly and picked up her phone). Oh, someone's calling me, be right back (she ran away).
Shravan sighed: Be a man, Shravan, be a man and own your words.
Aditya: Haan! Arre bro! What are you doing here?
Shravan lost his nerve and glared at the intruder: This is MY brother's wedding.
Aditya: Yes, wedding are a good place to flirt, nehi (he winked)?
Shravan gritted his teeth: You were listening in on us.
Aditya: Arre, I am only talking about myself bro. I thought I will bring out my inner flirt today, for the special occasion (he saw Shravan fist his hands and his courage faltered a little). I mean, I am rarely flirtatious, but kitne hasinayeehs hai yaha aaj. Thoda flirting toh banta hai, bro.
Shravan pushed against his shoulder, nearly knocking Aditya down and walked away.
Aditya took a deep breath as Pushkar came by: Your brother is getting harder and harder to deal with and I haven't even done anything yet, Pushkar!
Pushkar: Oh, he's like that about Sumo.
Aditya: Starting to worry here, man. What if he cracks just seeing me flirt with her? Mein toh geya, na?
Pushkar laughed: Arre nehi, Bhaiyya will not ruin this wedding for me, on that I can assure you your safety. Otherwise, there was a risk.
Aditya sarcastically: Thanks, what a friend you are!
Shravan decided to stay close to Sumo throughout the evening to keep that creep away from her.
He came up behind her again and stood quietly by her side as she fixed Preeti's lehenga on the mandap. When she got up, she hit something solid and warm, but she was not alarmed. Something about this person being close felt right, she didn't need to see him to know who it was for that reason.
Sumo blushed: Shravan, you scared me.
Shravan: Did I? Sorry.
Sumo: What is the matter?
Shravan: Nothing, just here to see that Pushkar doesn't need anything (he mentally patted himself on the back for his quick thinking).
Sumo: Pushkar is not here yet.
Shravan faltered: Haan, but everything needs to be set for them, na?
Sumo: Okay, then come and help me arrange the puja items for the ceremony. Aag jalani hai.
Shravan smiled to himself: Aag toh kaab se jal raha hai.
Sumo: What?
Shravan: Kuch nehi.
Suman had heard him, she smiled warmly now watching him concentrate hard on the mandaap preparations.
She quickly moved in to hold back his dupatta as he lit the fire: Be careful! You could set yourself on fire!
Shravan smiled at her: Tum ho na. Kuch nehi hone doge mujhe.
Sumo blushed as Preeti watched her quietly with arched eyebrows.
Please comment if you do or do not like it. I want to see if it is worth continuing.
