Siya Ke Ram Written Update - July 27, 2016
Raavan's soldiers are trying to awaken Kumbhakaran by blowing horns and conches, beating drums, tickling his feet with spears, etc. Raavan expresses his frustration as to how his own brother is in sleep while Ram's brother is always in service for his brother.
Ram brings fruits to Lakshman and asks him to have them while Lakshman asks Ram to rest and tells serving Ram is his life's motive.
Raavan asks Meghnad to bring delicious food for Kumbhakaran so that he awakens and leaves from there. Meghnad orders for food.
Sita listens to the horns and drums sound and thinks there must be some festival in Lanka. Trijatha tells that Raavan is trying to awaken Kumbhakaran so that he could send Kumbhakaran to war the next day. Trijatha also tells how Kumbhakaran sleeps for six months, then gets up for one day and then again goes to sleep for six months. This reminds Sita of how Lakshman did not want to sleep so that he can safeguard his brother and sister-in-law. Sita mentions how Raavan is making his brother to become a sinner by making him to do this war.
Huge amount of delicious food has been brought for Kumbhakaran. Meghnad thinks if this does not wake up his uncle, then nothing can. Kumbhakaran smells the food and gets up. He is pleased with the sight of food but asks who dared to wake him up from sleep. Meghnad tells him that Lanka is in danger and needs his help, so Raavan asked them to wake him up and tells Raavan wants to meet him.
Trijatha informs Sita that even if Kumbhakaran wakes up, he would not help Raavan as he is a good person and follows dharma. Sita tells her that he remembers seeing him once in vaatika and says he addressed her as devi and he is also a good person like Vibhishan.
In Raavan's sabha, Kumbhakaran speaks to Raavan. He states if Ram has arrived there with his vaanar soldiers and has already killed powerful people like Vajramushti, Akampana, etc., then he is not an ordinary person. He states also he met Sita once in vaatika and feels she is some form of devi. Raavan tells him that he is taking revenge for his sister's insult. Kumbhakaran says this is not the way to take revenge, he should have taken revenge as a brave person and not as a coward by kidnapping a helpless woman. If instead of today, if Raavan had awoken him when Shurpanakha insult happened, he would have shown how to take revenge. By kidnapping Sita, Raavan has brought shame to his grandfather and father. He also asks Raavan why did not he take advice from anyone like Vibhishan in this matter and instead, he threw out Vibhishan from Lanka. Raavan tells he did not wake him up to listen this from him and tells him if he has no power left to fight for his brother, he can go back to sleep instead of insulting him.
Kumbhakaran says he is his younger brother and will follow his duty towards his brother by fighting for him. He will bring the heads of those sanyasis to him tomorrow but if he gets killed, then Raavan should apologize to Ram, stop the war and return back Sita honorably. He also says in spite of who wins or loses in the war, what Raavan did was wrong.
Vibhishan informs Ram and others about Kumbhakaran coming to the war the next day. Vibhishan cares for Kumbhakaran as he is a great man, follows dharm and has not done any sin. Hanuman asks Ram whether they should inform Kumbhakaran to not participate in the war. Ram tells Kumbhakaran is following his duty as a younger brother by coming to the war and they should do their preparations.
Mandodari asks her father how did he support adharma by advising Raavan. Her father states that they can stop Raavan from this war by being supportive of him and making him realize the difference between dharm and adharm.
Kaikasi does aarti of Kumbhakaran and wishes him victory and goes to do tilak for him. Kumbhakaran stops her midway and asks her to bless him to be determined to be on the side of Raavan as a person gets powerless when he fights against dharm. Kaikasi is taken back and tells him that Ram has killed Raavan's son and Kumbhakaran has to fight to keep up their kul's prestige and Raavan's pride.
Trijatha informs Sita that Kumbhakaran is going to fight but not with hatred towards Ram but just to fulfill his duty as a younger brother. Sita says it is pride to have brothers like Kumbhakaran and Vibhishan but instead of getting then do constructive works, Raavan is using them for destructive work and Ram would never do that.
Kumbhakaran tells Kaikasi that Raavan has forced Ram to come to war. Kaikasi tells he has forgot the values taught by her. Kumbhakaran stops her to not speak about what values she taught to Raavan and him but when the world will question about a mother's duty, she has failed and sacrificed her sons for her ego. He says he is going to the war and does not know the result of it but if asur kul gets destroyed by this war, then she is equally responsible to it as does Raavan.
Precap: In the war field, Vibhishan requests Kumbhakaran to not choose adharm and fight against dharm. Kumbhakaran warns Vibhishan to get out of his way, else he will forget that he is his dear brother. Next scene, Kumbhakaran sees Ram and his army and laughs saying there is none there as powerful as him to fight with him. He lifts his foot to step on the soldiers.
