Kareena can't be like Priyanka, even if she wanted to. Just cultivating psychophants loving producers directors actors as your brother, buddy, best friend isn't going to cut it when it comes to creating a career in Hollywood. One puts in even more effort than one would for a career n your own country.

It's not Kareena doesn't want to. Everyone knows she leaves no stone unturned for her career in Bollywood. its Kareena doesn't have what it takes. It's as simple as that.

You say you opened post to discuss reasons why actresses leave careers after marriage..but look at the title of the thread..

Actresses with full fledged careers after marriage...meaning Kareena.

meaning who else but Kareena had full fledged career after marriage. People are pointing out aishwarya...just look at her filmography after marriage, compared to Kareenas flower pot roles in Singham and bajrangi. That Kajol left at height of her career to opt for married life and rejected all offers is something else. Not because she was not being offered roles.

ALL of Aishwaryas roles after marriage are performing roles, jodha Akbar, Guzaarish, Guru, Raavan, sarabjit, Jazba, Ae Dil hAi Mushkil, she never stooped to doing a item like Mary being drenched in a skimpy saree by extras..just to stay in spotlight.

Have you heard her ever say I am only A lister to hv full fledged caree after marriage. If anyone had to say it, she deserved to.

And gems like "I'm too lazy to try for Bollywood, I hv a husband, to look after"

I think it really depends from actress to actress. Some of them had acted in so many movies that they wanted to take some time out - Mads went off to the US where her husband was based and took some time off to raise a family. When she felt her kids were old enough, she moved back and does movies and shows every now and then. I vaguely remember Genelia saying in an interview that she wants to work as much as she can at that point, as after a few years she wouldn't be too vested in it, and I think she wants to focus on her family, so more props to her for that.

Back in the heyday when these ladies had just married, BW movies were rarely female oriented, the girls needed to look young and petite to be able to romance the hero, cause most of the films were hero oriented. The trend is changing now, we're becoming open to watch 35+ year old women helm a movie on their shoulders, like Sridevi's English Vinglish, as long as the movie has some good content. BW is transitioning towards really good and experimental content, and the audiences are more willing to watch such films, which is why it is becoming easier for married actresses to resume working after a short sabbatical of sorts.
