For discussion: does viewership depend on the channel only?

Just for an open discussion... I want to know the opinion of all of you...
I have seen many crap shows on top channels having excellent viewership while some good shows on channel like & TV, zindagi etc don't manage to attract viewers. So is it only related to the channel viewership, their policies or something else.
Even ARCB never managed so many viewers but the show which now airs in evening on star has good number of viewers... I really fail to understand...

I think it kind of affects. Sony tv is one among the senior most channel they have recently launched good shows like Reporters, PKHD, EDKV, KRPKABH all the shows was well appreciated in social media and critics but never had much viewership same goes with & tv too the channel has kind of good shows like MAHPH ARCB BJGPH despite of being well appreciated these shows doesn't have much viewership compared to sp and colours channel

I think In India only ARCB didn't get good viewership as ARCB is always in the top slot on foreign channels of zee tv

But don't you think this is not acceptable. Whatever the top channels give us is accepted blindly and others even if good are ignored... Why so?

I don't know exactly how this viewership works
Recently SP has two realistic shows like Tamanna and Dehleez but the viewership for these two shows were very less because of which channel had to pull it off early despite of being the show is finite series
Definitely all these shows have a big fan group as I have followed them in FB I knew about that
May be as you said these kind of shows are mainly followed by people live in urban cities and they may not be able to catch the shows on the particular time it airs on tv

To me, yes it depends on the channel the most. Star plus has maximum viewership and then Zee and so on...

Not a show but channel works more.

But contrary to my own vision : Kapil's show is a HIT even at Sony and not on Star or others😳

It may be related to channel policies then... But viewers follow something blindly... That's surprising...
