Men can be fickle… it takes a lot to hold their attention and most women would tell you, in most cases it means - nice rack, cute butt, thin yet voluptuous and attractive. As it now turns out, all these years of submission and taunts may just have been unnecessary. Women as we (of course through a survey) have discovered are just as vain as men, if not more.
Anyway, the question that needs to be asked is - what do women really want? Forget men, do women know what women want? Followed closely after by another question - Do surveyors know what women want?
Earlier this year a survey carried out by researchers of the UCLA said that women are attracted to muscular men...but mind you, not for long-term relationships, but for flings.
According to the study, muscular men on an average have three more sexual partners than the average Joe. Another study commissioned by a global condom company had reached an almost similar conclusion - they figured that the muscular men had the whole dominant 'peacock tail feather' thing happening for them and women looked at them to be more dominant and virile.
According to a fresh survey commissioned by After Hours, 51.6 per cent of the women surveyed said that they preferred men of average built, while 28 per cent of the women said they would prefer athletically built men, while 20.
4 per cent said their ideal man would have to have like Sunny Deol said "dhai kilo key haath" - in other words someone who can never walk with his hands straight!
And, since we are a country that still blushes when we ask about condoms or still change a channel, when the dirrty English movie shows a kiss, we are presuming that the people surveyed were talking about the body type they were looking for, for more than a fling.
Model Diana Penty agrees, "I think it's a pretty interesting and realistic survey. I think women would normally go for the more leaner and toned look. A toned, lean look is on any day more attractive to me, I'm not that great a fan of the overtly muscular types. Thankfully, with more and more men getting fitness conscious, we do see more of worked out physiques these days."
And, just in case, you are one of those muscular types grumbling about having wasted years getting those pecks, it's not you, it's the girl, they usually have a problem being with someone who smells better than them, what are the odds, they would like to be in a relationship with someone fitter with them?
