Mental Harrasmnet Law Suit against Ekta

I am thinking of filing PIL against Balaji telefilms for mentally harassing me and my family for such a horrible and pathetic serial.

It is such disgrace to indian culture that I cant think of it also.
Don't you think it should be banned?
Every body has got 2 wifes. Son fathers.
When people die half the family does not know it.
A son can let his father leave the house without any money because of his wife?????
And now back again to reality?

Dammit it is such a horrible serial.
I seriously think as Indian we should not watch it because it affects our mental state.
Government bans sexual content, smoking and hell lot of other things
then this serial should be on top of the list.

It can spoil many people's mind.
I know lot of people will say it depends on person whether it affects you or not but it affects everybody less or more..........

And individual choice always exists
but if somebody is so hell bent on earning money by just playing what people like then just imagine what our society will be if everybody's allowed to do so?

I know its just another show, but I am concerned they way it affects life of so many people.
One cannot just cater to desires of human beings to earn money always.
there has to be long term overriding goal based on humanity.

I think its worth giving thought to it.

This things r being said about K-soaps since the day they have gone air but still ppl watch it so can't help it.We really need to understand that it is just a fiction far away 4m reality.

However,nowadays K-soaps r loosing its charm and i think they will end by the end of 2008.

Hmm..I think it is there for entertainment! People should not take it to heart and should not involve it in there personal life too much.. Plus this show has been running for what 8 years now and is India's number 1 watched show, many viewers will be unhappy if it gets banned or anything along that line. Plus again it is fiction, such things are written in novels as well, they aren't banned either, this is just another TV show. So no harm taken and i think that going to take any action against this show is a bit drastic as it is still fiction! Anyways my opinion..😊

its just a soap.ekta has to create drama to keep the show runing,its nothing personal.its just fiction.So,don't be so tense and dont watch it if you are not interested.

These things are just for entertainment...ppl believeing it are fools...im sorry to say this...these things are far away from reality...so just dont take these things to heart...watch it and forget it...simple

I remember one Pakistani aunty's (around 60+ age)comment on Indian TV serials....I'll quote her:
"Beta..don't you think that these serials r potraying such wrong image of India?.... I was born in india and still visit it..I have relatives living there....girls from pakistan get married in indian families...but i have never heard any true story about extra-marital affairs and najayaz(illegitimate) children, such cruel mother-in-laws and sis-in-laws.....peole in pakistan who know india only thru serials feel that india is as bad in culture as US"......
I didn't know what to say to this aunty...i never thought my country getting defamed coz of k-serials....
But the fact remains...since we r watching it..it is on-air 😕

You know it took me a while to understand the quote of the pakistani woman but I think there is a lot to learn about India from other resources than these serials. Most pakistanis know wot India is all about so dun matter wot one woman had to say. These srials are mere genre of entertainment and people can not and should not take them seroius to the extent to judge a whole country and its culture for god's sake.

Not that I am trying to create a controversy here, I just simpley think India has a lot to offer about her culture than people may perceive.

About the topic generator, I dont know what your intention is behind posting of this topic. First of all if oyu are going to file a law suit it will really be interesting to see you win. Secondly, if you do not intend to persue the suit then I dunno what can be dune about this. I genuinely belive Ekta's serials follow plots from international soaps such as One Life to Live, General Hospital and so forth. You do see one woman having an affair with another man while married, having children from other man which is highly condemned in our culture. I agree we should not have these storylines but hey look at the films. They are not exactly portraying our culture the way it is are they? I have many american friends who ask me about sum of the dance steps in our movie songs that I can only refer to as "dirty dancing".

Howmany people can you file a suit against? Can you win? Does thi smean we surrender? Absolutely not. This means we take care of what we can i.e. make sure our children dont learn any of this by being model parents.
