So Salman fans seem to be preaching now that if you've laughed at a rape joke in the past or watched a movie with a rape joke then you have no right to say anything. Am I correct?
Well, but people didn't laugh the first time? Personally, I come from a family where my aunt was raped at 12, so no my family doesn't like any kind of a rape joke.
Also, what if they did?
How is what happened in the past relevant?
People that laughed at AIB Roast with Ranveer-Arjun in the past went after Tanmay's recent comments. People and sensibilities evolve over time. People change. Ideas change.
And for that matter of fact, Salman's rape comment wasn't a joke. It was far worst. It was him equating himself to a rape victim. And the matter would be over if he had apologized for using the wrong word and moved on. Nahhh, his dad apologized on his behalf, he shrugged it off, and then goes on to laugh about the incident on Comedy Night with kapil.
The sad thing is that people think it's a crusade against Salman. But if SRK or any one of my favs said that, I be here typing the same thing. And truth is when it's a B or C grade actor we unite together and bam it's a A-lister and it feels like a shit storm here.
