My take:

Seems like Gohar plays the antagonist of the show,(with all that dark eye make up), who has "harmed" Sumbul's character. This causes a rift between her and her father, played by Abid Ali. My only concern is how the show would deal with a sensitive topic like this after Sangat and Chup Raho. I could be totally off though..
