Back in 2002, when SRK, Madhuri, Karishma, Juhi, Urmila, Shilpa, etc. were all working in lead roles, who do you think could have pulled off the role of Paro in Devdas?

I think either Sonali Bendre or Juhi Chawla. They were both very chubby and bubbly back then. Plus it would have been good to see Juhi and Madhuri in a movie during their prime.

What do you guys think?

She had left the face of Bollywood by then. 😆

Thank God you didn't say Mamta Kulkarni. 😆

😆

I thought Mahima had the acting chops and I thought she was Bengali

I just googled and found out she's not... But I still think she'd be better for the role than the actress you mentioned

Paro was an earth shattering beauty with high level attitude
Dont think anyone apart from Madhuri @young age could do justice
Cast wise Ash was perfect

Wow!! Did you guys know that the original character Paro was very cheery and bubbly. She was a simple village belle who had no idea about the outside world. Chandramukhi was a sharp, vixen-like character... In the original novel that is... So I fail to see how Madhuri, who has such sharp features could be Paro.

Juhi / Sonali had a bubbly personality and would have been perfect.

None from the list.
But I guess Vidya would be apt as Para and Kangana as Chandramukhi

I liked Vidya as Lolita in Parineeta I think she would have done great as Paro too but way back in her parineeta days not now but Aish was a perfect choice.

I agree with your choice Juhi or Sonali would've been perfect. Since a plastic face Aish could do it.

People who are saying Vidya and Kangana. Tm is talking about that time when it was made, not now. Kangana was probably in her diaper, during that time 😆
