Okay so here is a one shot which fills up some of the story gaps in my FF did I love you not?'
I will post more such things so that I can create a world where everything I write is related and makes sense. I'll also put the links to every story in the order they occur so that if you read from the first link to the last everything would make sense.
You don't have to actually read my FF to understand this story so don't worry about it.

Love what you cook.
"hey bhagwan! Now what do I do?"
Anika was totally out of place standing in the Oberoi kitchen. She would have loved this kitchen if not for the dish that she had to make. The Lasagna. She couldn't even pronounce it right forget about making it. She sighed. Why did she have to say that she would cook?
Flashback:
"hey my mata! I don't know what shivay saw in you? You have no class, no family name, no inheritance then why are you my Shivay's bride to be. You both have nothing in common." Pinky whined as she sat on the couch. Anika looked down slightly hurt. It's not like she did not think about this herself but hearing it so blatantly stated hurt a little. She looked up and her eyes met Omkara who with a slight shake of his head and a small smile silently asked her not to mind it.
She felt the assuring grip on her hand tighten. She looked at Dadi whose hand it belonged to.
"Pinky, enough! She is to be your daughter in law and I won't tolerate such hurtful words against her." Dadi said in a commanding voice.
Pinky even though thrown a bit off track didn't seize her tirade. " but mummiji even you know this. She has nothing common with my Shivay."
Rudrawho was sitting on the other side of Anika immediately came to her defense.
"no no choti maa, they have lot in common. They both are so scary." Rudra said as the glass breaking scene flashed in front of his eyes and a shiver went down his spine.
When he saw Anika turn to him shocked, he immediately retracted statement saying, "no I mean they both are scary cooks. I mean fearsome cooks. They love it and both of them are good at it."
"cooking" Pinky said and suddenly she got a brilliant idea to prove to everyone that Anika was just not good enough for her shivay.
"fine then. Cook that thing. What is it called? La...lagna...lasigna"
"lasagna?" Jhanvi supplied as she came down the stairs and taking a seat besides Omkara.
Rudra and Omkara shared a horrified look. They knew what their choti maa had in mind. Om said almost immediately, "it's not necessary for her to cook. I mean none of us cooks. We have chefs for that."
"my Shivay cooks." Pinky said almost enjoying the fear on Anika's face. She was sure Anika would fail this test.
"But you don't" Rudra blurted out. The smile wiped off Pinky's face and all stared at Rudra. Pinky said defensively, "I know to cook."
Dadi scoffed. Rudra asked confused, "Really? I have never seen you cook."
His eyes flicked to Omkara who was making hand signs for him to cut the topic. He turned back to Pinky who was now glaring at him. He swallowed hard. Now another tirade would come on. He was going to be fried.
Anika sensed Rudra sinking in to the sofa's cushion. Her protective instinct took over and she immediately jumped in.
"I'll do it!"
"what?" Om and Rudra both asked her in disbelief.
"I'll make the la...lasagna." She said with determination looking Pinky straight in the eyes.
She could see from the corner Rudra shaking his head vehemently.
Flashback ends.
She looked at the cooking range. It was so huge. And she wanted to cry out in frustration. She didn't know where to start.
Do you need help?"
Anika turned towards the kitchen entrance to see Rudra and Omkara. She smiled at them gratefully and nodded.
Rudra came to her in full enthusiasm, "fear not my hone wali bhabi.' Why fear when Rudra is here?"
Om placed a hand on his shoulder from behind and said, "do you want to scare her more?"
Anika gave a short laugh and both her Devars smiled at that.
"so where do we start?" Om asked, in full professional mode.
"how about you start by explaining to me what in the world is asparagus?"
"I should go out and keep an eye for choti maa." Omkara said looking out the entrance.
"go bhai. I'll take care of everything here." Rudra said confidently from his seat on the kitchen platform.
Om just rolled his eyes and walked out.
He turned to look at Anika who was now taking deep breaths to calm down.
"relax di. It'll turn out awesome. After all I am helping you."
Anika looked at him scared and then smiled lightly at how adorable he looked biting on a carrot. She pinched his cheek and Rudra pretended that it hurt but he was smiling slightly too.
"okay now, pass me the salt."
"coming up" said Rudra as he picked up the Jar containing the white powder like substance and passed it to her. He could still see that Anika was tensed so he decided to tell her a story.
"do you know why Shivay bhaiya learned cooking?"
Anika looked up. She shook her head in negative.
"when we were small I got a fever."
"both my brothers were so worried. Shivay bhaiya was awake the whole night keeping track of my temperature. And O was rubbing my palms the whole time. When I woke up in the morning, O had fallen asleep next to me and were both covered in a huge thick blanket. Shivay bhaiya had nicely wrapped us up. I felt better but hungry. So I woke O up. He woke up and the first thing he did was to check my temperature. When he gave out a relieved sigh I knew I was okay." Rudra laughed at that.
Anika smiled at him affectionately. She could totally see the scene play out. For a small Rudra, who could not even read the thermometer, his brother's reaction was the only indication to his fever.
Rudra continued, "when we came down to see where bhai was we found him in the Kitchen, reading from a recipe book and cooking something. When we asked him what he was doing, he said he was cooking something healthy for me."
Anika smiled and asked curiously, "did he succeed?"
"failed horribly" laughed Rudra. "it wasn't even edible."
"really?" asked Anika surprised.
"yeah. He had never even entered the kitchen before in his life. So obviously he mistakenly put sugar instead of salt. Bhai tasted it before giving it to me and immediately threw the whole thing in the dustbin."
"and Rudra cried" said Omkara as he came back.
"no I didn't!" said Rudra obviously trying to salvage his pride.
"who do you believe?" Omkara asked Anika, giving her an agree with me' look.
Anika ignored that, too invested in the story. "why did he cry?"
"I didn't cry!" Rudra whined.
"because he ciouldn't taste the first thing his Shivay bhaiya ever cooked." said Om as he ruffled Rudra's hair.
"I really wanted at least a bite." Rudra said pouting. Anika was so overwhelmed. She placed her hands on either side of Rudra's face and asked adoringly, "do you know what you are?"
Rudra looked at her confused and shook his head sideways.
"the most adorable brother ever."
Rudra grinned at that and Om put his arm over his shoulders silently agreeing with Anika.
When she place the Lasagna on the table, Anika hadn't expected to see Shivay walking to the table. And so hadn't dadi.
"Billu, didn't you say you had a very important meeting today?"
"postponed it dadi" said Shivay as he side hugged his dadi.
"why?" asked Anika.
"for the food." said Omkara with a smirk.
Anika gave him a confused lookn whereas Shivay just ignored him and took a seat at the table.
"I had called him to tell him about today's menu" clarified Omkara.
Anika just stared at Shivay as he was filling his glass with water. He had cancelled a meeting just to eat her food. She couldn't help the small smile that was making its way onto her lips.
She enthusiastically started serving the food. Priyanka, Shivay, Rudra, Omkara and dadi all were sitting around the table. Pinky also joined in, surprised a little to see Shivay present for the lunch. But then she smiled naughtily. If Shivay was here of course the food would be severely scrutinised.
When Anika went to serve the Lasagna to Pinky she refused as she was on a diet. And then served herself Panner makhni. Dadi just rolled her eyes. Anika not losing heart served the Lasagna to Shivay.
Shivay instead caught her hand. Dadi smiled impressed. Pinky's eyes popped out from shock. Priyanka blushed, Rudra grinned and Omkara smiled knowingly. Anika tried to pull her hand out and was about to ask Shivay what he was doing when Shivay said calmly, "seat with us. There are servants to serve the food. If you do their work what will they do?"
Anika looked around and saw all the servants literally aching to pull out the tray from her hands. Anika just pressed her lips and went to grab a seat when Omkara offered his. She blushed a little as she sat next to Shivay.
"am I late?" asked Soumya.
All looked at her. Shivaya and Om looked at Rudra with their eyebrows raised.
"she was to come here to study anyway. So I called her for lunch." Rudra said defensively.
"sure..." said Om and Shivay together with extra emphasis on the er.
"you are not late. Come join us." Shivay said, smiling at her. Soumya was like Priyanka to him.
Rudra just gave them the look to shut up.
Soumya took a seat next to Anika across from Om. Omkara smiled at her and then nudged Rudra. Rudra ignored him.
As the servants served the food Dadi asked to have some too but Shivay and Omkara stopped her. She was currently on a strict diet and so she was not allowed such foods.
All looked expectantly at the food and dug in. and the next moment all wanted to spit it out. Anika looked around at their faces. all were looking down so she couldn't make out whether they like it or not.
Rudra forcefully swallowed and slowly whispered to Om.
"O, I think I screwed up."
Omkara looked up and saw Anika staring at him and force a smile on his face. Anika smiled back satisfied. Through his forced smile he asked, "what the hell did you do?"
"I may have passed di Sugar instead of salt." Rudra said meekly. He too smiled at Anika and gave her a thumbs up. When he shifted his gaze he saw Soumya Staring at him with narrowed eyes. she had figured it out that he had screwed up. He just sunk further into his chair. He felt Priyanka poke him from the side.
She moved closer to him and asked, "what do we do now?"
"just shut up and eat." She heard Om whisper.
"its really nice." Exclaimed Rudra. Anika looked at him a bit startled then asked softly, "really?"
"yes yes. It's the most delicious thing I have ever tasted."
"stop over acting." Omkara whispered under his breath. Rudra shut up immediately.
"it is nice." said Shivay.
Omkara, Rudra, Priyanka and Soumya looked at him stunned. But Shivay just kept on eating as though nothing was wrong.
Rudra whispered to Om, "did he get the good portion?"
Omkara awarded his comment with a half lidded look.
Pinky who found something fishy stretched her hand to take a bite of the lasagna. Rudra almst screamed when he saw it for he knew that the moment choti maa got a taste of it she'd insult Anika like there was no tomorrow. But before she could the plate was taken from under her hand. She stared unbelievingly as Shivay served himself the whole thing and finished it. Rudra and Om just kept staring at Shivay with their mouths open. They looked at each other and then a smile broke out on their faces.
Love was unbelievable was it not?
