I love Atif's voice. But Atif wouldn't suit SRK.

I wished that Sonu nigam or Udit narayan would sing Gerua. ❤️

Whatever, Arijit has done a great job too⭐️

I think, it was in the mazaaq raat interview in Pak Channel ( https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kUST0nto44c At 30 min ). He said, he asked Atif for Gerua. He also clarified the final call is usually taken by music directors, as he does not have music knowledge.

Considering what Sonu Nigam said about Swayamvar in Preetam's songs, Atif first had to record the song. At the end, they will choose one voice out of several singers. It may be him, may not be him. Sonu Nigam kept himself out of this race. May be Atif too. So one can't say, Sharukh interfered. He just asked Atif to participate in the Swayamvar thing, that's all 😆.

As far as Atif's voice, it is not note perfect, it is nasal. But it is popular, as he can sing at high pitch with high energy.

I love Atif's voice just like Arijit's voice but I don't think either suit him.

IMO, Sonu Nigam would have been the best choice.
