Shah Rukh Khan is known to speak his heart out. Honest and unabashed, SRK has answer to every question that's pointed at him. Promoting his latest film Dilwale, SRK was almost everywhere talking about the film. And in one interview he made an interesting revelation.
Dilwale's love anthem Gerua has certainly become the song of the year, topping all charts ever since it was launched. But did you know that singer Arijit Singh was not the first choice for the song? No!
SRK revealed in the interview, "We had approached Atif Aslam to sign Gerua first." But it didn't work out. Why? SRK joked, "He did not have time for me." When the interviewer further joked that Atif is not singing Pakistani songs either, SRK laughed and made a witty reply. "Then he must be singing for Chinese films now."
But what can be gathered from thsi friendly banter is SRK definitely prefered Atif to sing Gerua. Do you think Atif would have sung it better than Arijit?
