Ch 31 : You're The Reason I Smile

Next morning when taani woke up from her peaceful, she found herself sandwiched between the two boys. She look at the boys who were sleeping while hugging her. Taani turned to her brother who was sleeping there with slightly open mouth which made her giggle. She kissed his head without disturbing his sleep, she removed his arm off her after that she turned to face Rey, who had his firm hold around her.

Her heart skipped a beat or two finding herself this close to him. She closed her eyes for a moment to gain control over her ragged breathing.

"He is so cute." Her inner voice spoke as she continued to admire him while he was asleep. There was calmness on his face, a feel of contentment seeped through her after realizing he is happy, it doesn't matter she is not with him the way she want, all that matters to her, is his happiness.

"Taani! Come out of your dreamland and get up. Its past 10 in the morning." Taani reminded herself realizing what she was doing, she tore her gaze away from him and tried removing his arms around her but his hold was too strong for her. Taani huffed at his steel like grip around her, she tried her best to not to wake him up but failed so. He stir in his sleep then gradually opened his eyes lazily. He looked down and found her tugging at his hand.

"What happen, taani?" Rey asked her concernedly. Taani stopped her failed tries and look at him like deer caught in light.

"Nothing." She composed herself and replied to him. Rey gave her a suspicious look but then shrugged it away, not paying too much heed to his thoughts when he had his girl in his arms.

"Leave that and tell me, what do you wanna do today?" Rey asked her, he lifted his hand and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear, surprising her yet again at how lovable he is.

"Bungee Jumping!!" Taani squealed excitedly.

"What? But i don't think ronak will approve." Rey told her in matter of the fact tone. Taani groaned inwardly, knowing he was right. Her over-protective brother will never allow her to do something in which she can get hurt.

"Yes! Pretty please! I want to try it once. If you talk to him, he won't deny." Taani made an innocent face to melt him.

"Fine! I'll try to convince him." Rey couldn't say no to her. He just couldn't. And he knew, in future also, he won't be able to deny her any wish nor he want to.

"Thanks! Now i'll go and get ready." Taani muttered. Rey gave a small nod to her in response and he unwillingly wrapped his arms around her. Taani got down from the bed, she took her clothes and went in washroom to take bath.

"Di, please try to understand. Your hand has just got better and little pressure or pull and you can dislocate your bone once again. Doctor has strictly told to not to do any adventure for one more month." Ronak said to his sister who was quite excited for bungee jumping but after hearing her brother, her face fell. Taani turned to Rey, in hope that he would take her side.

"And i agree with Ron." Rey replied with an apologetic look.

"Urgh! I hate you both." Taani whined like a child. She walked over the couch and slumped down with a grumpy face.

Rey and Ronak shared a knowing look and walked toward her.

"Do you want me to call dad and tell him about your carelessness toward yourself?" Ronak asked his sister. Her head snapped at him and she nodded her head negatively in response.

"And its not our last trip. There will be many in future, then you can do bungee jumping and many other adventurous things." Rey told her.

"So now stop making this sad baby face and get up, we will go out and have fun." Ron urged his sister, he gave her one of his best smile.

"Get me a chocolate bar first." Taani demanded softly.

"I'll get it." Ronak muttered under his breath and went to his bag, he took a chocolate bar and tossed it to her.

"Thank you." Taani murmured softly. She tore the wrapper away and started eating her chocolate while the boys got busy in planning for her birthday surprise. Though taani knew they were planning for her birthday, but she pretend not to pay any attention to it and spoil their surprise.

They were having dinner in the restaurant of their hotel. Rey was stealing glances at his princess who was busy in eating where as the possessive little brother, Ronak was noticing Rey and his gestures toward his sister, taani.

It didn't took him long to guess whats going on with him. But he was happy to know his sister's feelings are getting reciprocated by the person she loves. He has seen it, he knew how deeply his sister loves Rey and he will be happiest man if they come together. He know Rey inside-out and to him, no one can be more perfect for his sister than Rey.

"Rey bhai, you shouldn't stare at a girl, specially when her brother is around." Ronak leaned and whispered in his ear. He smirked at his caught expression.

"Ron." Rey turned to him and laughed nervously.

"Its alright. I am not an old fashioned brother." Ronak let out a chuckle.

"So, you mean you have no problem with me & taani being together?" Rey raised his one eye brow at him questioningly.

"Offcourse not! Like every brother, i too wish for best for my sister and i think you are the best for my sister but don't be the reason of her tears. I hate it." Ronak told him with possessiveness lacing his tone.

"Thanks, Ron. And i promise, i will not let a tear come in her eyes." Rey promised him with sincerity, letting him know he meant what he said.

"Great. But tell me, when are you going to confess it to you? My darling di has no idea about your feelings, does she?" Ronak questioned him curiously.

"No, she doesn't. And i will confess it to her tomorrow, on her birthday." Rey answered him in hushed tone so that taani couldn't hear them. Ronak gave a small nod in response. He was happy for them, specially for his sister.
