Raghav's residence
Raghav was resting at his house after a tiring day. He had gone to office after leaving Trisha at her house sleeping. He finished the day's work in a few hours as there was not much work pending today. Everyone asked him about the previous day as they all were very curious to know as to whether he was able to express his love in front of Trisha and what her reaction was. He told them about the proposal challenge put forward by her and the way he himself had got into this trap. They all blamed him for doing this but he told them that he would complete the challenge as he wanted to give her all the happiness in this world. He wanted to make the marriage experience an unforgettable one for her entire life. He left after finishing his work and went back home. He was feeling very tired but at the same time very happy today. How relieved he was feeling at his heart today after being able to confess his love for her, he was finally able to move ahead in his life leaving behind his dreadful memories of his past.
He was lost in Trisha's thoughts when he heard the ringing of the doorbell, he was surprised as he wasn't expecting anyone at this time. He opened the door and was surprised to see Trisha standing right in front of him.
Raghav: Trisha tum yahan...is waqt?
Trisha: surprised!!! Kyun... nahi aa sakti kya?
Raghav: no its not like that...mujhe laga ki tum us challenge ke complete hone se pehle mujhse akele nahi milogi...I wasn't expecting you that's why I was a bit surprised...
Trisha: ab saari baatein bahar khade hoke karoge? Andar to aane do...
Raghav: oh I'm so sorry dear...andar aao...tumhara hi ghar hai...
Trisha: that's better...waise mujhe pata hai ki tumne dinner nahi kiya hoga, that's why I've brought dinner for both of us...
Raghav: dinner...wao...really a pleasant surprise, ab to bas kuch hi dino ki baat hai...phir to tum humesha aise hi mere liye dinner banaaogi...hai na...he said mischeviously...
Trisha gave him a stare on hearing this but she smiled when she saw a naughty look on his face. She knew that Raghav himself used to cook for himself in the night time. She arranged dinner for both of them on the dining table and they both had dinner together.
Raghav relished the food prepared by her and said "ab tum aise hi mujhe roz itna achha khana banakar khilaogi to meri aadat bigad jayegi, phir humesha tumhe hi cook karna padega...soch lo"
Trisha smiled on being appreciated and said "you leave that to me, I'll decide that who is going to cook food ...ok...so you don't need to be so happy". Raghav smiled at her in acceptance and quietly had his dinner after that.
After finishing their dinner, Trisha wanted to leave for her home but Raghav insisted on her staying for some time. He wanted to spend some more time with her and she agreed to his request as she herself also wanted the same from inside her heart. They decided to play cards for sometime and after that he played a movie DVD for her. He told her that she should stay at his house tonight as outside it was about to rain anytime and her house was quite far away from this place. He promised that she would be sleeping in a separate room, so she agreed. While watching the movie, he made lime juice for her and got beer for himself without telling her (Trisha didn't know that he used to take beer occasionally at nights). Meanwhile he received a call from his college friend regarding his recent problems for which he wanted to discuss it with Raghav in details. He excused himself and went outside to the drawing room to talk to him.
Trisha while watching the movie, unknowingly picked up his beer glass. When she took a sip from that glass, she found the taste something unusual. "he always says he knows how to cook, ek lemon juice to theek se banana nahi aata, God knows how he manages with his food" she thought. Still because he had made it himself with love, she drank it despite her not liking the taste. When the movie got over, Trisha went outside to the terrace as Raghav was still on phone. Raghav came back after finishing his call and saw Trisha outside in the terrace. He picked up his glass and when he took a sip, he immediately realised that it was not beer but lemon juice; seeing the other empty glass he understood that Trisha had drank his beer. He knew Trisha had never consumed alcohol in any form previously, he became a bit apprehensive. He went to her outside and saw her quietly looking towards the sky.
Raghav: are Trisha, tum yahan bahar kyun aa gayi? Chalo andar chalo, baarish hone wali hai...
Trisha looked at him lovingly and smiled at him. "Nahi mujhe andar nahi jaana, dekho na...kitna achha mausam hai, tum mere saath dance karoge...mujhe dance karne ka bahut man hai..." she said. He understood through her body language that she was not in her senses, he tried to take her inside but she was not in a state to understand anything. He had to give in to her insistence and he played a lovely romantic music and they both danced together. They were dancing constantly looking at each other, she seemed to be lost somewhere in her thoughts after some time. Some time later, he saw tears in her eyes and he tried to ask her the reason for her tears. Initially she did not respond but few minutes later, she spoke up herself.
Trisha: tumhe pata hai Raghav, jab main chhoti thi...mumma humesha mujhse kehti thi ki achhe logon ke saath humesha achha hota hai. But mere saath to kuch bhi achha nahi hua...pehle mere mummy papa mujhe chhod kar chale gaye, phir tumne mujhe akela chhod diya tha...that means ki main hi bahut buri hu...hai na...
Raghav understood that it was her grief which was there in her heart since the time she lost her parents, which she was bringing out in her subconscious state. He decided to let her bring out her inner sorrows which she would normally not do when she is in her full senses.
Raghav: nahi Trisha...aisa nahi hai, tum to bahut achhi ho...bura to main hu jo tumhe akela chhod kar gaya tha...aur tumhare parents, woh bhi bahut achhe the. Ab God ko bhi to achhe logon ki zaroorat hoti hai, isliye unhone tumhare parents ko apne paas bula liya. Iska matlab yeh nahi hai ki tum achhi nahi ho...tum to is duniya ki sabse achhi ladki ho...
Trisha: agar main itni achhi hu to tum mujhe chhodkar kyun gaye the...bataao...tumne nahi socha ki main akeli kaise rahungi? Raghav please tum mere liye God se kaho na ki unki zaroorat mujhe zyaada hai, main unke jaane ke baad bilkul akeli ho gayi hu, muhje unke bina achha nahi lagta...raat mein akele bahut dar lagta hai, sleeping pills ke bina main so nahi pati...wo unhe mere paas wapas bhej de...please Raghav tum kahoge na? she had tears flowing through her eyes.
Raghav: haan main God se kahunga...ok...but tum akeli kahan ho? Main hu na tumhare saath...main tumhe kabhi akela nahi chhodunga, I promise...he said wiping off her tears. First time he was seeing a small child in Trisha who was afraid of being alone in nights, usually she was a bold cbi officer who wasn't scared of anything...but after all she is a girl who was left alone now, he thought.
Trisha: tum to apne past mein itne khoye rehte ho ki tumhe aur koi dikhta hi nahi. Main humesha se tumse pyar karti thi par mujhe lagta tha ki tum jab tak vidushak ko nahi pakad loge, tum apni zindagi mein aage nahi badh paaoge. Main humesha chahti thi ki tum apne past se baahar niklo, tab tak main tumhare liye wait karne ke liye tayaar thi...tum humesha kehte the ki tum kabhi apne ghar wapas nahi ja paye jahan tumhare dad ka murder hua tha...main chahti thi ki ek din jab tum apne aap mujhse kahoge ki tum ek baar phir apne ghar wapas jana chahte ho...jis din tum apni yaadon se bahar nikal paaoge, us din main tumse apne pyar ka izhaar karungi...main kabhi nahi chahti thi ki tum kisi majboori ki wajah se mujhe apnaao. Par jab tumne sirf papa se kiye huye promise ke liye mujhe apnana chaha, to main bahut hurt ho gayi thi Raghav. Mujhe laga ki tum mere liye kuch feel hi nahi karte...I felt so lonely that time... Aur jab tum us din mujhe akela chhod gaye the, mujhe laga jaise I lost everything in my life...i felt like committing suicide...just because my parents had taught me to face everything bravely in life, I somehow managed to stay alive with memories of my parents...otherwise I would have died the very same day...I never expected this from you Raghav, never ever...I always thought that you too love me...but I never knew that your past was much more important for you than my love... Why did you do this Raghav, why? And she started crying loudly.
He tried to console her but she was unconsolable at present. He hugged her tightly and let her shed all her sorrow through her tears tonight. After some time, it started to rain...when she quietened down a bit, he cupped her face between his palms and looked into her eyes with all his love. She was still sobbing and tears still flowing through her eyes.
Raghav: Please Trisha, meri baat suno...main janta hu, maine tumhe bahut hurt kiya hai...but main tumse promise karta hu ki aaj ke baad main tumhari aankhon mein kabhi aansu nahi aane dunga, mere past ka apne present aur future par koi asar nahi padne dunga...i promise. Tum jo bhi khushiyan mujhse deserve karti ho, wo sab tumhe main dunga...I love you and only you Trisha...meri life mein sirf tum ho aur koi kabhi nahi aa sakta. Tumse zyaada important aur koi bhi nahi hai...mera past bhi nahi...don't worry, from now onwards we both will start a new life afresh with no memories of our dreadful past. Will you help me in doing this darling, you are my love...my life...everything for me... Please don't cry, main tumhe rote huye nahi dekh sakta...please...jab tum roti ho to aisa lagta hai jaise meri jaan nikal jayegi..." he said wiping her tears.
She smiled slightly on hearing this and gave him a kiss on his lips. He knew she was not in her own and he didn't want to kiss her like this; but just considering the emotional state she was going through, he wanted to pacify her at present and wanted her to believe that she owns him completely forever...he responded appropriately with his kiss and after that both of them engaged themselves in a tight embrace showering their love for each other in that hug. Few minutes later he felt some weight and he realised that she had slept off under the effect of alcohol. He lifted her in his arms and took her inside, he changed her wet clothes and made her lie down on the bed. He tried to move away but realised that she was still holding his hand tightly. He sat besides her on the bed and kept on looking at her for sometime. She was repeatedly requesting him not to leave her alone while she was in light sleep...so disturbed she sounded , he came close to her face and while caressing her forehead he said "shhh...just relax sweetheart, I'm here with you...tum so jaao, I'll never leave you alone...believe me darling" she became quiet after this reassurance from him and drifted into a deep sleep. He became relieved seeing her sleep but he too had tears in his eyes and blamed himself for putting her into this situation. He was relaxed that she was able to bring out what she had in her heart for quite some time...although he knew she did this in her semiconscious state.
He placed her hand in his own, clutched it close to his heart and promised her and himself that he would do whatever is needed to make her happy throughout their life. He realised today how unreasonable he had been when he kept himself away from her, how difficult it must have been for her to accept everything that had happened with her over the last few months, especially when he too left her alone. He kissed her hand, then on her forehead, covered her with a blanket and went out of the room. He too slept after some time in the drawing room thinking about her.
Next morning, when he woke up, he found her sleeping peacefully. He didn't wake her up as it was a Sunday today, so they didn't have to go to office. When she woke up, she had a severe headache...she saw herself in Raghav's bedroom and her dress was changed. She was wearing Raghav's shirt...she tried to recall what might have happened at night but she could not remember anything except that they were watching a movie... apart from this she didn't remember anything. She saw Raghav coming inside with a tray in his hands.
Raghav: good afternoon Trisha...ab kaisa lag raha hai?
Trisha: sar bahut ghoom raha hai...aur kya kaha tumne? Good afternoon!! Time kya hua hai?
Raghav: afternoon 12:30 pm ho chuke hai Trisha...
Trisha: main itni der tak kaise so rahi thi, tumne mujhe uthaya kyun nahi? Kal raat kya hua tha Raghav, mujhe kuch yaad kyun nahi aa raha? She said pressing her forehead as her head was aching badly.
Raghav: don't worry Trisha, kal raat kuch nahi hua tha...bas tumne galti se meri beer pee li thi, that's it...
Trisha: what??? What are you saying? Tum beer lekar aaye the apne liye...and that too when I was there...how could you?
Raghav: haan to apne liye laaya tha, tumhare liye nahi...but one thing is for sure...ki tumne pehle kabhi nahi pee...hai na? isliye tumne...
Trisha: isliye kya? Kya kiya maine?
Raghav: kuch nahi bas tumne nashe mein mere saath zabardasti baarish mein dance kiya, maine bahut mana kiya but tum to...phir kuch der baad tum meri baahon mein so gayi thi...main tumhe andar le aaya aur tumhari dress change kar di aur...
Trisha: Raghav...
Raghav: don't worry... I had closed my eyes...I know sweetheart, hume dobara shaadi karni hai... main sapne mein bhi tumhari marzi ke khilaaf tumhare saath aisa kuch nahi kar sakta...ab tum ek kaam karo, yeh coffee pee lo...you'll feel better...ok... tab tak I'll prepare lunch for both of us...he gave her coffee and was about to go out of the room. She held his hand and hugged him at once. He was surprised at this sudden hug from her and asked her "kya hua Trisha, is everything ok..."
Trisha: nahi kuch nahi, aise hi...I really love you Raghav
Raghav: "I love you too Trisha...tum fresh hokar bahar aa jaao, phir hum saath mein lunch karte hain...ok" and he went outside for her to freshen up. She smiled to herself thinking about what he said, although she didn't remember anything about the previous night but unknowingly she was feeling very light at heart today...she didn't know why...but there was a lot of relaxation inside her. She had her coffee, freshened up and later both of them had lunch together.
They both went for shopping after that as Trisha suggested that his house needs to be refurnished as till now only he was staying there alone, but for both of them...the house needed some changes. Raghav readily accepted her suggestion and they did the necessary shopping together and later he dropped her home in the evening. While leaving she again asked him as to whether he had started planning for his proposal or not? He told her that its going to be a surprise for her and she needs to wait for that. He would definitely think of something which she won't be able to deny. She was already becoming curious about the way he would propose her. She bid him a goodbye and happily went inside her home.
