Fawad replaces Sid in Kjo's next

For Fawad Khan, things seem to be coming up roses after his Bollywood debut with'Khoobsurat', starring Sonam Kapoor. And the icing on the cake is that Karan Johar has offered him his maiden solo hero project. According to sources, the filmmaker-actor jodi is expected to collaborate on more films since they share a good rapport. They have also discussed few ideas as well as scripts. Fawad recently signed a film after he liked the script.

According to sources, initially, Sidharth Malhotra was being considered for the role. But, later, when Karan approached Fawad, he immediately agreed to be part of it.

Reportedly, Karan's mother Hiroo Johar is also big fan of Fawad, and had cajoled the filmmaker to cast him in one of his films.

After working together in 'Kapoor & Sons', and upcoming film, 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', both Karan and Fawad get along like a house on fire.
