Restoration of Faith vs Apology

Hello! Firstly, wanted to say I loved today's episode <3 But I wanna talk about how Sumo looked on as Shravan walked away, like he said he would once she was okay, and how that look she gave him brings him to her good books again.
-----

Sumo's self respect has and always will take a backseat in front of Shravan. I was wondering if Shravan would apologize to Sumo, but for Sumo, an apology from him doesn't hold the same meaning as Shravan restoring the trust he broke. When Shravan does something to restore the trust he broke, it outweighs any apology.

What he did today restores that faith in him again & it's bigger than an apology for her. Whenever Shravan has helped her/fought for her, she let the misunderstandings slide. Remember the incident at the reunion party? As soon as the Khosla track came, all that rage and hurt and anger against him died out. Sumo was pissed at Shravan for a while after the reunion party (note behavior at Holi party + her mom's jewelry)- she wasnt stepping down. But when Shravan stayed back to fight the case for her family, she no longer felt the need to hold anythingg against him because by fighting for her, it restores that "bharosa" she has on him. Same thing with this PCT issue - Sumo was upset. She was hurt. She wasn't taking his help initially at the hospital. She was being blunt and cold. Even today, when Shravan was being encouraging, she lashes out a "What do you want!!" But when she finds out that Shravan went out of his way for her recovery, you can see she's warmed up- that restoration of faith is in her eyes

For Sumo, it isn't an apology from Shravan that matters. It's keeping that faith in him intact that means the most to her. And when he breaks that faith, she breaks too, and all she needs is for him to rebuild that faith and she'll drop everything she holds against him. She doesn't need an apology from him- it doesn't hurt her self respect when he doesn't apologize to her- but it hurts that love she has for him when Shravan does something that breaks that trust. So for him, her self respect will take a backseat, and any form of action that can restore the broken trust will outweigh an apology.

---
Thoughts??

Agree..
Lovely write up...

Yes its true when ever he has broken her faith its his help or support during her fight that has restored that faith again, without him apologising or even giving an explanation.to her. Like today I wanted him to give an explanation for her PCT fiasco. But no matter how much it had hurt her then, today she just let that go even wthout him giving an explanation!

Well said... eshaaax...👏👏

Beautiful post...
I totally loved ur analysis 👏👏👏

Like i said somewhere else.. Sometimes actions speak louder than words.. as was so much mad at Shravan when he was acting like a jerk... i was unable to let it go... and was thinking what will make Sumo forgive him...

But CVs have how logically portrayed that... yes he restored her trust today...how beautiful were those eye talks... her gratitude.. and his happiness... her happiness and his satisfaction...
Her longing and his sadness ...

Do they need words to explain that.. they said it all through their eyes... n it reached me ... 😳😳

I actually will want to break my screen if Shravan says anything rude or mean to Sumo tomorrow ... because that will now contradict his present state...

Ramu plz stay away for a few episodes i dont want to see ur face right now..

I agree with you 100% :) It's great to see people appreciate the little things that make the show stand out from the crowd!

Sumo's self-respect does take a back seat when it comes to Shravan, personally, I feel like it's because Shravan is all she has despite her family and that fuels her behaviour towards him. Sometimes I wish she wasn't so lax with him but when you think about it from her perspective it makes sense. And with the two of them I feel like actions speak louder than words, they don't verbally apologize but they do a heck of a lot for the other that goes beyond apologies - like the things you mentioned.

and yes, Shravan has revived himself from cancellation, so if he pulls another outburst at Sumo, I'm gonna be pretty upset :/ I understand he's hurt too, but he can't just take out the anger and frustration on Sumo

Ramnalayak* as I like to call him, needs to take a trip to Paris lol

AHH, i think the same. I feel like Sumo is how she is with Shravan bc at the end of the day, Shravan is the only one she really has. She's been alone all her life. Even with her family, she's still alone, and being with Shravan gives her that sense of home and she's faced the aftermaths of losing him for ten years, so whenever something goes wrong, even 1% of a green signal from Shravan's side is enough for her. She's willing to chase him and make things right bc he's all she really has- not that i agree with chasing someone over and over- if you look at it from her perspective like you said, it makes perfect sense!
